'Racer', this morning, said it IS a done deal. April 1 is not the best day to announce, so maybe it's a premature bad joke...?

Worst news in years! When you see the disaster they've done to F1.

The MotoGP management won't change for the moment, only the ownership, apparently.

More MotoGP's will be introduced throughout the season IMO now that Liberty has taken over.

Future idea-->MotoGP will coincide with F1 on the calender. So fans in the stands will have F3, F2, then F1 and MotoGP plus Ferrari Challenge or Porsche Challenge as a filler.

    That's my 2 cents.

Cars and bikes have always attracted completely different audiences.
Spectators on both sides would be alienated by the mixture, IMO.

You're probably right. Just speculating on my part.

They would increase the amount of stands just for that audience which means more $$$$$$.

I'm pretty sure I heard on Fchat a while back about the notion of MotoGP/F1 weekends. ??

    How about F1 v. MotoGP

    Same day, same track.

Marquez v. Hamilton. Game on! :D

As long as there are corners involved, it’s no contest.

I don't understand that comment, repeated several times about F1.
Jeez !! Are grid girls really important for the racing ?
I don't care one way or the other, but I start to wonder why people watch races.

    1) I guess because FOM decided to sanitize and sterilize this F1 tradition. MotoGP still has grid girls and no one has said anything about it.

    2) No one asked the grid girls if they found the occupation "misogynistic"? Some, if not most, used the grid girl position as a stepping stone to more lofty photogenic positions.

    That's my 2 cents.......

Exactly what I was thinking. I wonder if the Liberty suits have ever been to a Moto GP……

    Hopefully not.
Liberty has ruined F1 enough. Please don't mess with MotoGP.
