Maybe an stupid question According to red-headed website there’s only two colors of light interiors beige interior color code 4208 and crema color code 3997, but I thought the crema was lighter almost white but I’ve seen other interiors that look more “yellow”. That makes me wonder which interior color do I have, I thought I had beige but after seeing those seats for sale I am not so sure anymore. You got beige. Lighting can make a big diff but the TR crema/magnolia is very light. Crema leather over Castoro carpet (same carpet as yours) attached. Door panel is the same as the seats so you can see the diff lighting can make. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The dyes used in the beige leather was awful. It turned yellow with age and UV was even worse. When new it had more red in it and was darker. Computer video screens just make that worse. Crema held up well dye wise and was pretty close to white. Looked great with a dark colored car but was fragile and picked up color from blue jeans. I think the 2nd picture in post 3 is mostly a case of poor color reproduction in the photo or whatever. It does not look on my monitor like any factory color. Ferrari in period made all nature of excuses for the leather quality but it all came down to the same thing, it just was not high quality. I have been careful to the extreme with ours but I shouldn't really have to.

(Not withstanding Brian's point that the color variation and aging can be extreme ) It's odd that the beige 4208 is not listed in the TR SPC -- it has: cream = VM 3997 beige = VM 3234 natural = VM 3218

Great photo. Certainly, the information in the TR SPC is just a "shapshot" in time circa 1984 so later changes not shown. I was more surprised that the OP posted: "According to red-headed website there’s only two colors of light interiors" as there are clearly 3 in your photo (and listed the TR SPC) -- I'd even include the one next to Sabbia in your photo (which I'd guess is Cuoio).
Guess so, natural would probably be Cuoio (leather) in Italian. Re: OP - https://www.red-headed.com/testarossa_colours.html Anyway, the vast majority of US TR's are beige (4208) over Castoro which an awesome combo, notwithstanding the grass is greener predilections.
I'd say that Crema is a much lighter color than shown in that example, and then the names got shifted because the Crema color photo was missing (i.e., Crema on that page is more like Beige, and the Beige on that page is more like Cuoio).
Yep, real life vs computer screen. Even in RL, the same color over different textures looks different so ...
According to Ferrari it was in 7-89 for 328 and Mondial t and 5-90 for TR. In other words nearly the end of 328 production. So it would have been a minority of TRs and a tiny minority of 328. My 88 328 still has the old leather. TR was planned to be replaced that year but a holdup of the Bosch Motronic system for 512 caused its production to be delayed until MY92.
Isn’t the beige interior associated with a brown dash and cream would have the black dash? I thought that was the easy way to tell. I have cream/black but the color is on the yellow side. May be aging effect. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat

In simplier years of my Ferrari ownership by presenting your serial number you could correspond directly via e-mail to factory Customer care in Marenello with questions how your car was originally ordered/fitted especially if you had a gray market model to the USA such as a BB. They had access to the original records. An owner could build a scrapbook of e-mails to and from the factory. This is handy documentation for Concours events such as FCA International meets (now called "experience". In my 1982 BBI's case, it was fitted with PELLE 846 leather which the factory refers to as "Tobacco" more like saddle not the usual beige. Mats were Castoro 172 Lt Brown. Exterior: Nero 1240 (Black). Easy peasy in those days (2005). Imagine that, an owner could correspond directly with the factory. Good luck with that today. Dick Fritz's judging team a presented this car with Gold at FCA 2005 at Indy Then Platino's 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2013 along with 3 Coppa's. Dick is in my opinion, "Mr. BB" and TR. Insane! Pay big bucks for so called "Classiche Certification" and wind up with question marks with the records??
I paid nothing, but obviously that's one reason the Original Vehicle Colors Certificate was ended. Charging $50-100 for the Colors Certificate would make more sense, but ...
