I love Teslas

I sold mine a few weeks ago.. No issues with the car at all and I gotta say all the tribal wars on either side of the fence were quite overblown (in my opinion) and stupid - but geeze the depreciation was brutal.

Then again so was the depreciation on the BMW I bought before it.

EV's aren't evil, they're not stupid, nor are they going to save the planet or the pockets of those who own them.

 

what did you or are you replacing it with ?

 

Not replacing it... It was my daily driver and I already had (have) more cars and motorbikes than I have any need for.

The F car stays in the mancave though. As we all know, people who own F cars don't drive them just in case they break.

Gee that is nice .

 

yeah I've had a lot of bikes in my time but this one's a pretty good one.. BMW Boxer engine (1250) in a flat barred bike with good electronics, ergonomics yet still plenty sporty and practical... Good Dad's bike for the ex hooligan.

But I've got a few... This one's just my more sensible one.

 

Nice smooth ride and NO vibration as in the classic Bimmers .

 

Well it's "smooth" but it's not without vibration. If you want one that has zero vibration then you need to get one of the big K series 6 cylinder bikes.

But yeah it's very smooth compared to my Ducati. You can see why BMW bikers are seriously brand loyal, they are made a lot better than their cars are.

 

Friend of mine that did Tassie with the boys and is doing GHAB (Tim) is a mad bike guy -KTM,1300cc thing but he rides everyday to work one of those Classic BMW bikes of the 80s

 

I love my older bikes too.

This my my Ducati and Kawasaki. Both are mental quality restorations I did over a number of years, similar to the 355 in attention to detail.

The Duke has 9,000 original kms on it.

But yeah for now I'll ride the BMW into work... Will probably get another car for a commute but I dunno what yet.. Nothing really grabs my eye.... Maybe an old 550 shi*tbox perhaps, or who knows maybe even an old 911 I can tinker with. That'd be fun and probably a bit more reliable than another F car.

You can't beat the 911s be old or new ,spares ,mods the parts available

 

Or maybe turn up to work in an old Bentley like a boss. Take up a few car parking bays like I give a ****.

I just can't be arsed working for it though.... I'm more burnt out than a clutch on a Mondial.

Oh wow! That Ducati is my favourite ever bike. Stunning thing.

Love the Ninja too. I had the first ZX6R in Adelaide way back in 1996.
For its time that thing flew.

 

Both of those are still amongst my favourites, which is why I had to get the two of them and restore them to crate-quality condition. I've spent a fortune on them.

The 996 is a freaking beast of a bike. Not as powerful as modern bikes for sure, but it has absolutely zero sensibilities and the noise it makes is mental.
