Curious, what is the approximate distance traveled that would be represented by a 0.5 second delta on a short circuit like Fiorano?

Considering that Fiorano's length is 2997 meter as example a time lap of 1'19.50 means an average speed of 136 Km/hour. That means that 0.5 second corresponds to an average travelled distance of approximately 18,8 meter.

If you want to to continue the LF vs SF90 lap times on modern tyres discussion, better make a different thread. I believe most future F167 owners will care more about its GT characteristics more than on how fast can it go around Fiorano, Silverstone, Mugello, Spa Francorchamps or Nordschleife. This thread needs to go back to the original agenda which is the new Ferrari GT (F167).[/QUOTE]

Well. Day355 took the opportunity as did others, simply asked for proof.
Own GTS and care less about GT features - Puro Roma are much better designed for GT.
At 6 - 700k you are entitled to the best of everything and Ferrari has show a commitment to a V12 screaming achieving faster track times.

The V12's were as fast as rear engine V8's until the SF90. Be interesting to see what they can achieve.

Thank you for your very kindly feedback!
The only thing i can say is that i´ve drawn this car out of pure enthusiasm since the moment i´ve read the very early posts of day355 (thanks to “Mr. GT Supersport“) more than two years(!) ago. I didn't have any other information than what's here in the thread but that was a lot. And i´ve focused very early on the aesthetics of the vehicle. Of course I also find the exchange with the other experts here in the thread very helpful. Well... and if we have really come close to the final car: fine! Let´s wait a little time and we`ll see it...:)

When it comes to Ferrari V12s - it would be great if they were smaller, more agile and in the case of being a GT reasonable luggage capacity plus of course a great engine. If GMA can do it on a small scale, I don’t see why Ferrari can’t on a larger scale given the prices we are now paying with a reasonable amount of options. A slightly larger version of this would as a GT would be great!

I thought it had been discussed then it is not the last NA given the European tighter regulations did not pass

Seems like 825/835, is a good unused number for the new V12, depending on where power ends up.

Regarding lap time, can’t see how it will be ahead of the Comp because it will be heavier, softer and not much more powerful - if at all. It won’t be an aero car and will likely ship with P Zero tyres. All as it should be for a halo GT.

Been reading about the car for while on this thread. For the life of me, I cannot help but wonder if all these “test cars” with their dizzying camouflage look a lot like Roma’s?

Anyone have an idea about after the reveal, when the order books will open up and subsequent delivery would be?

Edit: as far as names go, whatever it is, I hope they come up with something that has tones of the iconic past and a name people can love. For me, names like superfast remind me of iconic heritage and before I ever saw the 812, I wanted one.

The most knowledgeable sources here say is last regular production V12, not only because of regulations, but also because of trends, marketing department trying to appeal to younger buyers and leadership following direction of large cell phone makers instead of from the racing department or sports car product department.

On the name front, Daytona would be pretty great if indeed the last run of the NA V12
