430 What’s this little detector in the grill?

I thought this might be from the radar detector a previous owner had installed (and I removed) - but is even molded into the fiberglass… What the hell IS this in the lower right “gill”?!

Agreed. That’s a camera. And it look like it’s molded in because it’s screwed into the stock tow hook mount.

 

Setup for someone to do a modern day version of C’etait un rendez-vous?

 

Aaaahhh - that’s the tow hook mount - that makes sense!

I keep pulling useless wire out of this car - now I have to track this one down. Car does have an aftermarket stereo head, but not one with a camera.

When you get the camera removed, take the time and run a tap into the threads of the tow hook, then try fitting the tow hook. After all these years the threads oxidise and the tow hook will not screw in. Its a metric fine thread by theway
