Daniel Ricciardo way overrated.

After seeing his performances this season, more and more people are starting to believe it. Not sure, he is going to get another big contract in F1 again.

 

Haas might offer him a seat?

 

Starting a career at Toro Rosso to finish it with Haas? That would hardly be a progression !

 

Well he went away as a second driver of RB and came back as a 3rd driver for RB.

For me, it's best for him to call it a day. Maybe the current car regulations just doesn't suit him. He better head off to le Mans.

 

Big contract? At this stage I’m afraid he will be lucky to get any contract in F1.

 

Why? The guys they have are doing much better than Ric.

 

Both are out of contract end of season. If Ric gets sh*tcanned it might be the only F1 seat available to him?

 

Ricciardo's financial demands may be above what Haas is prepared to pay.

 

And what does he have to offer? He’s where he is now as a gift from Horner.

 

Although it was not clearly his fault this time, today's race will probably not be very helpful...

Agreed, unfortunately. LM, indycar and possibly even NASCAR (which he loves) are all good options for him.

That's great. Sort of poetic now... diving off to oblivion. I think the next race will be the pivot point from him. But while everyone keeps talking about the pressure on him... I'm not sure he gets its or cares all that much. He's been brilliant at securing ridiculous monetary contracts for mid-field skill. I think he's a lot more interested in the celebrity side... the goofing off... the attention and how he can parlay all of that into more screen time in the future and i doubt he cares where that all comes from.

 

For a driver who promised so much years ago, Ric turned to be a real let down.

Ricciardo has lost that eye of the tiger.

 

He got the second chance that I think he deserved, and which is not given to many of them.
Does not seem to work (I'm sorry...'cause I kinda like the guy, but well.."time waits fot no-one")

So far tough for Ricci. I hope he gets better but he has had a good run in F1 and more wins than many after so many years. Will be interesting to see how this is finally sorted.

 

Arguably he should have two wins at Monaco, one was in the bag but for a colossal cock-up by his team.

 

Good point. Nothing to be ashamed of as his life has progressed in F1. Its just F1 not curing cancer. His journey is not so different from many before him.
