Just when you thought it was safe...
Not sure where you would get that information from..... He can do any public forums he wants. He already did and embarrassed himself. We operate in a space of making sure clients get what they need and deserve. We don't have a YouTubing instagram marketing strategy. Just take care of your clients. That's all anyone wants. Humans make mistakes it's how you handle and respond to that. The measure of an operation and an individual is how they conduct themselves in times of hardship and do they make good on their commitments.
I'm in full agreement. That information was stated in the recent vinwiki AMA. Sent from my toilet using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Art's new scammer shop location is 720S Bell Blvd Cedar Park TX unit 7B. It's approximately 2000sqft and houses stolen machinery. He will not have much room for cars. If someone is stupid enough to send him a car they should assume he is uninsured.
A couple recent posts on the Daily Driven Exotics YouTube channel (3.9 million subscribers) are bringing Art Bartosik back into the social media big time. Several months ago DDE flew Art and a crew of EAG techs out to DDE's SoCal HQ to install an EAG cable shifter kit in DDE's 599. DDE next bought a second 599, and installed a second EAG kit in-house. However, rather than send the second car's ECUs to EAG for a reflash, Dave (one of the two DDE principals) asked a certified Ferrari tech whom DDE recently hired to copy and paste the code from the first 599's ECUs into the second 599. (Dave discusses this subject beginning at 27:30 in this video, posted up nine days ago.) The apparent reason for this DIY reflash attempt was to save the time and money that DDE had paid the Gintani tuner shop to give the first 599 a "flame" tune and to make it work with an aftermarket Valvetronic 6-into-1 header/valved muffler system. The result of this effort was to wipe out the EAG coding from the first 599, restoring it to the factory tune, and leaving the second 599 with the factory tune as well. Both cars having been converted to three-pedal operation, both are now undriveable. (You can see DDE's head mechanic, Mike, trying to drive the first 599 at the 8:30 mark in this video, posted up yesterday. Regular DDE viewers will know that Dave (and DDE's other principal, Damon) know very little about their cars. In the nine-days-ago video, Dave and Mike give credit to Art and EAG for the coding modifications EAG furnished for the first 599, rather than their true author, @360trev. At the end of the video Dave and Mike have homed in on two options: hire Art to fix the Ferrari ECUs, or replace them with aftermarket Motronic ECUs. They discard the Motronic option as too expensive. The Art connection returns at the 12:08 mark in yesterday's video, when Dave tells the camera that EAG will fly Art to SoCal to fix both cars' ECUs. At the 16:00 mark Dave and Art do a video call to broach the subject of Art's SoCal visit. Art agrees, with details TBD. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Will DDE continue to believe that Art is the author of the conversion codes? (In the nine-days-ago video Mike credits "EAG" with spending hundreds of hours to develop proprietary coding.) Will they wake up and realize that @360trev is the real go-to guy? One factor which clouds the process is that DDE is a click-bait channel, repeatedly conjuring setbacks and disasters to attract eyeballs and YouTube $$$. So it may be awhile before DDE comes clean about what's really going on. Another source of confusion is that the raw footage -- and the events it depicts -- may already be days or weeks old. Based on the boys' clothing, I think these events are fairly recent. The interesting point with respect to the chronology is, how does Art's involvement with the rescue of the DDE 599s dovetail with the collapse of the Bartosik Era EAG? Stay tuned, I guess.
But does he have a driver’s license yet? How is the equipment stolen, since the new EAG stole most of it first? More drama than a real housewives show…
These guys sound like clowns, typical you tube content these days. Doesn’t sound like this will resurrect the Art error.
While online discussions swirl and speculate, my focus remains on supporting all customers and the community with their genuine technical needs. Regardless of past conversions, the provider, or the kit used, I'm firmly committed to providing assistance, whomever that may be. Behind the scenes, I'm diligently working on several cases and collaborating with various suppliers to ensure the community is best served. This ensures everyone receives the proper support, irrespective of the situation or companies involved. It's the least our community deserves, and my commitment to our community members is unwavering.
Hey on a separate note... Id love to hear about your insights in social media. I need to get better at it. Id love to learn if you are willing to share.
There's a typo in this sentence. It's DDE, not EAG, that will be flying Art to DDE HQ. So many three-letter acronyms in my post of yesterday; in this case I typed the wrong one. In today's DDE video, at the 16:38 mark, DDE Dave states affirmatively that Art's flying in, hopefully in time for DDE's next video. Today's video also indicates that its final segment was recorded on April 3. So yes, these events are happening in close to real time. In fact, with today being April 8, it's likely that Art has already come and gone. I'm looking forward to seeing the results for the two DDE 599s.
It is good to see people making good on their commitments. Will be click bait but regardless shows the community supports the overall product wherever possible.
There seems to be some confusion regarding the technical support issue encountered by DDE with their Ferrari 599s. According to Art, who contacted me, DDE experienced a software and configuration problem impacting both vehicles prior to the recent EAG situation. Since DDE and I haven't had a direct support relationship, it's understandable they reached out to Art for assistance as he installed their original 599 kit. This wasn't a case of any financial gain, PR, malice or any conspiracy, but rather a technical challenge on which they where stuck - they asked for help. As DDE has mentioned in a video, replacing Ferrari ECUs can be complex. Aftermarket options often lack the level of integration offered by factory units, requiring significant customization and incurring high costs. This path wouldn't provide any real benefits and comes with potential drawbacks. The true complexity arose from one of the 599s having an exceptionally rare firmware version. Unfortunately, this version was lost during an attempt to clone software between the cars. This incident highlights the importance of creating backups, especially for unique configurations as unlike some manufacturers, Ferrari utilizes a wide range of ECU firmware variants, and replacements aren't always readily available. It's crucial to remember that software cloning between even apparently identical Ferrari models can lead to issues, as was the case here. Expertise with Ferrari's specific systems is essential for successful modifications. This situation serves as a reminder of the importance of specialized knowledge when working with complex automotive systems.
If you are freelancing for EAG, this announcement leaves a lot to be desired. There is a perfectly comfortable waiting area. With numerous (free) beverage choices, and complimentary WiFi. And rest room. And parking. The Meyer’s hand soap in the rest room is symbolic of the extra mile this company will go to provide a premium experience. Also, EAG is hiring. Book keeper/chauffeur/CEO/YachtMaster/Pilot Many perks.
IKR?! That’s just the tip. There’s a bowl of mints by the front door, they say “EAG OMG!” on them. Not even dealers give you mints. And you didn’t hear this from me but Chris allegedly got caught on camera spraying graffiti on the building and setting off bottle rockets. I bet he gets grounded all Summer.
Impressive as that is, Ricambi America gives me a candy bar when I spend thousands on parts. Sent from my toilet using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Didn't hear it from you and then you said it. EAG OMG branded mints... Millions in debt and the decision to fund personally branded mints? Free wifi and parking? What is happening here? Last comment I will make on the subject.
No way. If it’s not a snickers but Ricambi branded, make sure you keep it in a ziploc with your parts and records. There are counterfeits on eBay. Lucky bastard.
