Bosch 0 332 019 151

I’ve been searching the database here and see this Original relay has undergone a few progressions from Bosch ➡️ Tyco ➡️ TE
Just wondering what the difference would be between the two relays pictured here.

There is an electrical diagram right on the case that explains function but you have drawn over it.

 

both relay working equal, so they are the same from technical, only looks a little different
you see this with the numbers:
85 and 86 to activate and 30 and two times 87 to connect, also both with 30 A

 

You mean something other than they both seem to be obsolete now -- not a good sign that they don't appear on TE's website. Since they have the same electrical diagram and same basic rating of 12V/30A, it will probably be something subtle like slightly different coil resistances or # of cycles at such-and-such a current, etc..

 

Steve I know a while back ( not sure if you) there were recommendations for replacements - will any same config'd relay work ..or is there better ones ( in your opinion) out there

 

I don't know of anything "better". Generally, if the switch configuration shown on the outer case is the same, and the voltage and current marking is the same (e.g., 12V/30A), it's an OK substitute (for example, either of these would be fine to replace the metal Bosch ...113 relays IMO).

 

Jeff and Steve M, I recently replaced the 19 metal Bosch relays in my 1986 Testarossa main fuse box. AutohausAZ provided all Bosch replacements with the same specification/configuration as the original metal types shown in the pics that follow:

For the eleven metal 0 332 014 113 relays, I thought that I was going to receive the 0 332 019 151 relays, but I received Bosch 0 986 AH0 251 relays instead, black plastic case, shown to be manufactured 2023. $3.49 each.

For the seven 0 332 204 101 relays, I received Bosch 0 332 209 151 relays, gray plastic case. $4.99 each.

For the one 0 332 015 006 relay, I received the same Bosch ...006 relay, blue plastic case, but with data printed on the side. $18.49 each.

Don't follow you here. The blue K relay is not a stock metal case ...006. Are there any part numbers or manufacture name on it? What is that ...234... number?

 

Steve, I just meant the same Bosch relay number 0 332 015 006, but in blue plastic. Pics of the data from the sides of the relay. Made in Portugal. I do not know what the number ++2348 on the relay top that I drew the blue letter K over means.

What is your opinion of the Bosch 0 986 AH0 251 relays that AutohausAZ supplied (besides the price)? EDoug

Thanks very much for the additional pictures/data. Kind of surprised that Bosch would reuse that same 0 332 015 006 part number for a different construction relay. The V231... number is a Tyco relay part number so I'm glad to add that to my notes.

Perfectly fine for replacing a Bosch ...113. In their complete specifications, these relays typically have a table of "# of cycles life" vs "current thru the contacts" and coil resistance, etc. so there could be some minor differences, but, since it says "12V/30A" on it, that's the right sort of relay.
