I think we need to see it, and then experience it. Ferrari always makes a great car, but to get to the next level takes something a bit more. What makes a car endearing varies person to person, but, as you noted with the Speciale, for example, when it is endearing to a wide enough group, it becomes a great. What if the new car revs to 10k, drives more crisply, is more exciting to drive, doesnt feel as big, and also rides more comfortably than the 812. Sure some will cry about the lack of a physical rev counter- I will be one of those- but- it might elevate it into that status. Or- on the other hand- just for the sake of argument- what if it's not as good as the 812, then we will all say keep your 812. This is not likely, but let's face it, it could happen.

Have Speciale 2500miles & 16M 10kmiles - like both but the SF90 is eye opening.
    F167 makes sense but I wouldn't mind buying a 599HGTE and installing a manual.

I keep hearing this from the guys who own or owned older V8s and actually drive their SF 90s. My AF spider is Status 70 (finally). So excited to see what you all mean.

Re future F167 collectibility, surely that depends on whether there is a VS? If there is, then history shows that that’s the one to have, and the regular model will be a forgotten one - just like 599, F12 and 812.

Even if there isn’t a VS, it’s unlikely to be highly prized unless very few are made. Look to the F8 for a recent case example. Last of the V8s but guess what, Pista is more collectible as it’s a VS, where F8 was just a regular model.

Although I know that this will cause controversy, I must confess that my ideal rear end for the F167 is a more classic version of the 812 C rear with a lip spoiler and air outlets that are much more discrete. :)

Breaking news: special limited editions hold their value better than mass produced models. Who knew?

Do you know how many factories are building V12's NA - yes GTS are still being produced.
The GTS first drop top V12 since the Daytona - those bottomed out and went to near 1m in coupe and Spider - 2m.

Go find a Ferrari NA V12 Spider for under 250k - send post cards.

An 812 GTS sold on BAT in Feb for $50K over. Another with a questionable spec was bid to $46K over a few days ago. They are far from $250K and would imagine that they are at or close to bottom. I suspect the bottom will come when F167 Spiders are delivered. And I bet that bottom is at or slightly above MSRP. Strong specs will do better.

Recent Daytona Spider sales more in the $3M range. Of course, one could say that was a limited car.

Likewise with my 1 owner 8k kms Speciale. Will hold onto the GTS for now and see what F167 is all about. The one that got away from me was the F12 TDF - I feel the need for one even at current prices IMO

The new car in Aperta will take away all that made the GTS special. Not the last, not the fastest, not the best driving, not ... And that's OK. Love and drive your GTS and don't trade in. Its the mass trade-ins that puts the model over the value cliff especially if it had a high sticker. Once someone drops their price and sells they all sell lower and lower. Who cares.

My guy … what are F12s and 458 spiders trading for right now? 812 GTS will lose a bit each year until it is at those same levels. It is nowhere near rare enough to hold its value and will depreciate normally until it hits the mid 200’s this is just facts.

A perfect condition Enzo just does things to you up close like no other car. The way you experience it. It is wicked fast in the right hands and very emotional. It is one of those Ferraris that are nothing like the pictures. Unlike the Laf and dare I say the 250 GTO!

It is a matter of taste in my opinion. I love the way the Enzo looks, it is a very emotional design. I love the sound, I love the rawness but the comparison to the LaF does not flatter it. The LaF is superior in every way. Much better gearbox, better handling, much faster and despite being more modern it still feels incredibly special.
That is my personal experience and bear in mind that I hated the LaF when it was launched… I was wrong!

It’s not a fair wager because it’s inevitable that I will be proven correct. In fact there is no regular production Ferrari model that has NOT penetrated the sub 300k mark within a decade of being a pre-owned vehicle, and most cracked that number in half that time.

Could something like these rear fender winglets from the 296 C be being used on the F167?
May explain the rear look a bit

Unlikely on a regular production sports GT. I would have ruled it out completely except d355 said elements of fighter jet so have to assign a non-zero chance

I have had my 812 for five years now. The opening price the dealer is offering me to buy the car for me equates to £2,000 per month depreciation. About the same as a monthly lease on Pivotal for a Range Rover.
If someone said you can have a brand new F167 for £2k per month (plus loss of the use of the capital for the period of ownership) would you worry.
It is not an investment. Just a consumable item. Enjoy it.
If they do a manual gearbox version like some of the rumours I want two - berlinetta and Spyder.
Won’t sell the 812 until the F167 is delivered. Have started seeing more 812 come to market each day recently - but probably two years before delivery of F167. Too early to sell the 812. If there are sufficient differences in character between F167 and 812, tempted not to sell 812.
