It’s possible air intakes through the gap in the B pillar and then exits from the horizontal slot below leading edge of rear wing. The slot would be aligned with the corner light bars.
Yes yes, I understand the idea, the concept, but it would be the third car with this "air-solution". I see a clean car. The 167 will be minimal and clean.. I know there will be a double active wing over the tail in piano black
I still prefer 540 since that was the more common convention originally, but I get that Ferrari probably won't go with a smaller number.
with 540 there is already the P540 Superfast Aperta and it's funny how Ferrari has used both the names years later: Superfast and Aperta Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The sketch is a dream! The real car, well, has the same problems of all special projects: you can see a beautiful dress with weird lines given by the chassis... but yes, in general the P540 is a Pininfarina masterpiece
Not keen on that. The forward vents look ‘plonked on’ and repeating the same design for the rear vents looks lazy and the vents look squashed in. The top line has too many directions too. As was said, a design trying to be a different thing from what’s underneath. Another example of why Pininfarina should not be universally lauded, if it was their work. Despite having a justifiably outstanding reputation, they had plenty of weaker moments.
I’ve placed a deposit for a 167 but I agree with this sentiment. Isot’s excellent render work has the unfortunate effect of showing a car that is a little unimaginative. I’ve heard the car looks beautiful - both Day355 and our dealer. But the description of the design being simpler and more old-school has me curious to see if it will be modern and interesting enough. In general, I like the idea of the front mimicking the Daytona but haven’t yet seen a rear treatment that looks much like a Ferrari ought to look.
I'm sure that I have absolutely not captured the allure and charm of the car in any way. Just move a line a few centimeters to completely modify a volume and overturn everything. Mine is just a filler to make the wait less boring. Maybe my model has some "right" element but for sure Ferrari will surprise us! This is the best part! The dream!
I think the rear spoiler could well be a wing with blown slot as you note, but tail trailing edge needs to be higher—not light level—as a pure side view will show an odd slope of the rear glass. The ‘odd shapes’ do not define the hatch opening except at the very front/top, I believe, instead shown in dashed line in my previous sketch and in blue below: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Like always.. incredible job A! I'm reading a lot of spectacular ideas, but with the video we're having we're one step closer
This HAS to be damn close! A bit more lower body sculpting a la Purosangue and I think you’ve got it!
Probably a long shot, and already mentioned here but Miami —> Miami Vice —> Testarossa, so I’ll guess Testa Rossa instead based on a relatively tenuous argument: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Posts on Autopareri about how F167 will look like and it seems like there are photos of the car. Probably just a spoiler/wing (deployable?) and possibly in 3 parts—fender end caps and middle section on hatch. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Agree but 812 holds that status, have a Roma Spider on order, so the further away from elegance the better.
