Never heard an 812 be described as elegant. F12 yes, 812 no.

How boring.. Aston Martin just puts wraps on future cars and drives them around !…. No c pillar / wings?! / flying buttress mysteries…. Unreal no leak… remember the late night tdf convenience store visit, the 812 assembly line pics, SF90 leak, PS pics out forever…. Ferrari has really kept this one tight.

Well, I've always looked at it as the F12 is kinda like your good looking wife, the 812 your sexy mistress.

I have always pictured the rear hatch swooping down lower than the top of the rear side fenders and for there to be air flow below center section of the rear spoiler. That would also create a fighter jet or Lamborghini look to the rear that has been described

Yes I can see that. The 812 is a bit vulgar. It’s a good looking car, don’t get me wrong. It simply doesn’t have the sophistication or elegance of the F12.

Enough about that. I am now becoming quite concerned about the looks of this upcoming 812 replacement.

This car ALSO looks pretty bad ass! It’s giving me Maybach Exelero vibes. This thing with a V12 in piano black?! Take my money!

I’m so combative that I’m going to retort to my own post …

“Yeah pal, except there was that soul crushingly forgettable car from Chrysler with the same name. So there’s that.”

Have faith! Don’t worry. I’m sure it’s a very coherent design. Aggressive, muscular, and elegant at the same time. Rest assured this will not be some Daytona front and Aventador rear abomination!

I have both versions of the 812 but in terms of elegance I don’t see either the 812 or the F12 as elegant. I think both cars are bulky and have elements that are clumsy. I’m hopeful of better with the F167 but not if it follows the lines of the Roma which, I think has been done to death with Aston etc. I’d like something a bit more visually entertaining.

No need for a leak.. bar the name the reveal has already happened in this thread lol. Will see it next week and from what I saw in a sketch awhile back and what my dealer who has seen it said, still for me the talking point is the rear, not the roof..

Exactly what I was thinking - where is the classic elegance idea? Personally, I don’t really mind a different direction as I’ve mentioned before. Can’t be Lambo-esque though. Sounds like a lot more aero activity going on at the rear and a very strong influence of 365 Daytona at the front.

If they managed to find enough horses, could be 865 Sebring, which from memory was the first race Ferrari returned to the WEC top tier.

Had to ‘like’ this because I found myself fully agreeing with it. The F12 is too bulky, especially in the midriff. The 812 does have some clumsy elements (speaking very relatively). And the Roma is a pretty car but the Aston thing. I looked over our Comp in the garage yesterday. My that is a beautiful car close up. Resolves many of the quirks of the standard car, especially in the rear.

Despite many renders, I still don’t think we’re too much clearer, at least those who haven’t seen the car. But Daytona seems a strong theme and that has to be a good thing in my opinion.
