Missing parts? No problem, Donnie will buy or steal more. Nothing he hasn't done before. The more these guys get away with the more emboldened they become. I have zero doubt if people knew the hole truth many would be pretty shocked.
Oh to be the shop who tries to sort out that Countach! Matt better take out a 2nd mortgage on his home.
I'm trying to remember when the countach went there....ooh! found it! A YEAR ago. and 7 months ago...
Matt will make another video: "Everything wrong. Bad news! My mechanic is a crook and in JAIL!" Will get 2M views
I've seen those videos in the past and it was painfully obvious that Donnie had never worked on a Countach in his life. Farah was in line for a very expensive learning curve even at his 'discounted' prices.
I saw that too and I am not that up to speed on Countaches. From what little I have watched his knowledge of Ferrari was not very strong either. I suspect if we knew the entire story we would find he was subbing out a lot.
BINGO. There's a old video of him working on a Fiat Dino Spider and I'm like... are you sure you want people to see this?
Hey someone called this out on March 30th. I wonder who.... Can't say we didn't warn you! Image Unavailable, Please Login
The benches are covered with crap, the floor is covered with crap and he working on the engine on a Harbor Freight furniture dolly.
Thank god..... I was feeling guilty enough to go clean up my home garage... How many projects could one guy start? There were cars everywhere in the lambo vid...
Here’s the actual beginning of this saga if anyone’s interested. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/1986-328-gts-restored-by-donnie-callaway.682254/ I really feel for this guy. He got the hose, but at least he got his car back and sold it for a reasonable price on BAT. It could have been a lot worse.
I cannot help but consider it a self inflicted wound. Maybe it because I have spent so much time in the business but Donnies entire operation, and personality to me screams out con man. As I said before due diligence is not that hard. There are a lot of honest shops working hard to give their clients good value and they are not that hard to find. Watching those videos, this guy makes my skin crawl. I'd want to jump in a pool of disinfectant just from being near him.
Donnie frequently says he was a mechanic at HSC. I have been told he worked there as a shop boy, sweeping up, etc.
Did Matt come from money? All I knew about him was being an editor for a magazine and YT. Didn't really add up to me with his purchases and his whole multi-location luxury car storage facilities. Possibly. Or, he's just being honest. A lot of people hide their ****, few people are honest about it. A few in this thread act like they've never broken the law in a car before.
