There was a hearing for reduced bail today. Motion was denied. Callaway remains incarcerated.

Mr. Callaway is NO fallen angel, and it is completely wrong to even suggest such a comparison.
In 2011 he was abusing legal processes to falsely charge me $106,000

In “storage fees” for my Miura that he had contracted to perform $50,000 in services for.

Not only were these storage fees completely unreasonable, but they were illegally being levied for the period of time that he was taking to do the work.

So he never completed the work he promised (in his own hand writing and signed on his own stationary) and that I paid for, yet charged me $106,000 for storage fees that are not only ridiculously unreasonable, but completely unjustified during the period that he never completed.

Yet Donney and his complicit amoral attorney were using these false charges to sue me, while he was attempting to abuse legal processes to conduct a lien sale because I was not willing to pay the additional unjustified storage fees.



His plan was to be the only bidder at the lien sale, and steal my most valuable (now approx. $2,000,000) car without paying anything for it, and after receiving payment for services not completed from me.



Famed 1950s-60s Ferrari barn finder specialist - Mr. Tom Shaughnessy verified in the year 2011 that Donney had been doing this sort of thing AND GETTING AWAY WITH it for 10 years already at the time.
He showed me his telephone phone list with Donney’s name and number on it with the word “CROOK” beside it. He told me the same as all the other Police related resources had told me - that it was a civil matter and that there was nothing else that I could do but fight him and his “Crook” attorney by civil processes, and by the time that I was done I would likely have invested more than the car was worth in legal fees at the time.
This was his working criminal modus operandi that he and his attorney were abusing civil legal processes to achieve "legally".
My best friends were advising me to give it up, as it was not worth the price it was exacting on my health dealing with so much stress, and dollar for dollar it would not be worth trying to win it back.

However, owing to my extreme persistence, I finally got VERY lucky in that I connected with John Thorne from the Los Angeles car theft prevention agency called TRAP.
He was near retirement so stuck his neck out for me and later got chewed out by Sheriff Baka who was later dismissed in disgrace for being crooked himself.

They conducted a Special Forces raid on Donney’s shop involving more than a dozen police related vehicles. Pulled my car out from behind about 15 others purposely blocking its exit and later let him plea bargain for being allowed to wear an ankle bracelet for many months before being sent away for a 5 year term stay in State prison.
In testament to his grandiose cultivated capabilities - a well established car designer friend of mine attended a Garage Tour in Monterey after he was released from prison. Not one person in this audience other than my friend showed any sign of having reason to doubt when he announced that he had spent the last several years studying at the Ferrari factory - when he was actually incarcerated in State Prison!
He also was the only one arguing that he should not be made to pay a fee for attending the tour, as the group was being allowed the benefit of his exalted presence.
When approached by my friend, he realized the connection between us and announced to the crowd, that my friend was the friend of a crook (me!) despite the fact that he had just gotten out of Prison for victimizing myself and so many others.
The plea bargain was required to get my engine and other parts returned, as Donney was on the lamb. Off to Hawaii and several other states before he decided he had played his hand as long as he could before his eventual capture.

There were 14 counts against him, including grand theft auto, but the D.A. decided to ease their workload and not require the State to put him up for the 15 years that he had earned, by only prosecuting the first four easiest to prosecute charges.
Unfortunately that left me with no grand theft auto conviction even though my car had been reduced to small bags of parts with no parts remaining connected to another. So no insurance payout to me – just $184,200 eventual restitution order that he has been quoted as never intending to pay a cent towards.



There were four other victims suffering similar grievances represented in the criminal prosecution of this sociopathic con man extraordinaire, and I’ve heard mention of many more that fell by the wayside and succumbed to his evil devices as they were not as capable of finding the alternate resources that I did at the last minute after a full year of hearing that the only route to justice was the civil proceedings that Donney and his unscrupulous attorney were so adept at abusing to the point of “legalizing” what in truth was felony fraud and theft on an astonishing scale.



Donney has a very convincing external persona, which is why the few defending him were fooled.

But that is only his facade that only a true sociopath could muster so convincingly.

I cringed when I saw jay Leno taken in by his act, because I knew that Jay, like so many others, including myself, had been completely duped by this unscrupulous hustler.

More recently I was sought out by one of the current victims – Arthur from Belgium and was instrumental in connecting him with the only agencies that could help him resolve his intended loss of over 4 million dollars, as he too was told that the only solution available to him was through civil litigation, and had already paid $250,000 in attorney fees to no avail.


To sum it up – Donney was never an angel, so had no grace to fall from.

He is, and for more than the last 20 years has consistently acted as such a practiced megalomanic sociopathic con man that others that did not have to actually negotiate any serious amount of business with him, or were less famous or publicly influential than his most highly esteemed customers that occasionally got nearer a fair deal for the sake of PR, are the only ones that could possibly think anything positive about his character.
