I have been experiencing a problem with my 575 when I lock the doors they open again.

I search and there was quite a bit of information on this happening in the 456’s.

Does anyone know a cause and cure for a 575?

Are both doors are latched properly? Do the windows drop and rise normally when you open and close the doors.?

I read that the 575 Window/Doorlock system can be interrogated with a Ferrari SD2 tool for faults, but I suppose we can cover the basics first (without paying $$$). Unfortunately, we don't have any wiring diagrams for the system, but there may be some common elements between the V12 and also the V8 doorlock systems.

Are you talking about the doors or the windows?

The WSM is very ambiguous when it comes to what components are involved in the locking process. There are sensors (microswitches) which detect if the lock actuator-motors have moved to their correct position. A failure of these sensors may lead to the doors unlocking as the system doesn't know if the actuator has worked. Also, if the movement of the actuator is restricted by an improperly latched door or if the actuator is too weak to move the locking mechanism, this can also cause the system to unlock the doors.

If you attempt to lock the door with the key, do you get the same result?

Now it is working correctly. So therefore The windows are working too.

I will have to wait to see when it happens again if the windows are in fact going up and down.

I just had this fixed on my SuperAmerica. Although the fob or the key was used the doors would lock and immediately unlock.

There is an adjustable linkage in the door. To get to it remove the door pocket…I think 4 screws hold it in place. Then you will see this linkage. There are two nuts holding the linkage at a certain distance apart. Unscrew the nuts, then lengthen the linkage. Retighten the nuts. Test to make sure it works. Then reinstall the door pockets.

I have had to make the adjustment twice since I have owned the car. I bought the SA in 2008 from Miller.

Yikes either the car is becoming a classic or I am!

Classic memories...Bought my gated 575 from Miller in 2005. Never sat in or driven a Ferrari....Left Greenwich at 6 PM, raining when I hit NYC, got in wrong lane and ended up in South Bronx, snow started in Va., etc, etc...... drove 1500 miles to home. Those were the days.
