The air direction actuator has 5 wires and has a built-in potentiometer for position control. The recirc actuator has two wires and doesn't care where it is.

Ugh wrong thread response above thought it was another thread, sorry.

A company does sell the gears with a repair however. It's called ECU doctors or something like that.

I’m also interested. ECU repair has no repair service anymore. At least not available as of today….

Hi. I’m wondering if you ever got these made?? I would love to buy one as there is NO availability of these units anywhere. Let me know…. Even a service like shapeways.com would be great…

    Hi,

Fantastic work on getting these gears created.

I'm in a fortunate position where i have a 3D printer. would it be possible to get a copy of the CAD /(.stl) file so can can print a set for myself.

    I'd be very grateful.

    Kind Regards,

    Peter

    FYI
Eurospares.com now has a ferrari replacement for the 7100 actuator. Not the original style but supposed to be a ferrari superseded part alternative. Mine came in a ferrari parts box, etc
Unfortunately that isnt my problem but for those looking for a new actuator

I have just had this repaired on my car (i think the same thing) replacement actuator came from ferrari classique. Not the original part but one they have adapted. ECU turned out to be okay after a reset

Are there any identifying numbers and the name of the manufacture on the replacement part? It's likely an off the shelf item that can be purchased for much less else where.

Looks like some of the identifying marks have been melted away. The other numbers helped me find this:

Looks like a wiring harness has been added. The internals may also have been changed. Poti 120° is printed on it. The Ferrari potentiometer moves through 180 degrees. The drive shaft also looks different.

Yes, melted part numbers. Real Ferrari stuff. LOL

These actuators are a dime a dozen. A few years back I bought a couple to see if it they would work. The problem I had with the one that would have was that the shaft was too big and being hollow it could not be cut down to fit.

For the broken gear of f355 timing actuator 63307100, after I bought one from Japan with crazy price, found a healthy genuine gear from same outlook actuator, molding and casting with improvements, I have precisely recovered and replicated genuine-like gears.
The gear from Japan weights 3.4g runs ok but noisy due to off-centering or hard material I think, so I give up.
The healthy genuine gear, which I have sourced some, weights 2.7g will eventually break due to life span, so I give up.
Looking at genuine gear, the material of the broken part is different, so I recover my own which is genuine-like, 2.5g weight, similar material. solid, smooth and QUIET.
Do not throw away your broken gear/faulty actuator, it can be recovered.
