They also make rear view mirrors that integrate the radar displays. I thought those are pretty slick.

blendmount makes a few different styles. Some that clips towards the swivel part without teeth.

I’m happy to remove the mount and see how much damage is done to the arm (aftermarket mirror tho). Let me know.

I think I'm considering blendmount. The next question is... Has anyone successfully powered the detector from the overhead console since it seems blendmount offers a power cable? I was going to use that for my reverse camera mirror setup, but never got around to it. Now that everyone is switching out their Becker radios, I may do the rear camera with a radio change as soon as someone figures out how to replace the startup logo on the Walmart special radio to be a Ferrari logo. That was the only thing preventing me from using a Porsche PCCM with the bezel logo "Greeked" out by a wrap.

In both my Ferraris, I powered up the detector. One from using the mirror tap and the other from fuse box using a pig tail. Mirror tap was definitely easier and I think it comes with the Blendmount as an option.

So there is enough power there, great. How did you figure out which wires to use? I don't know if I trust the available wiring diagrams that are floating around the internet as it seems the wire colors may or may not match. I was thinking 1st to locate using a Multi-Meter the ground line and the figure out which lines are hot all the time and which are ignition switched.

You are exactly correct. Use a multi-meter to determine the switched hot and the ground. With the mirror tap, just push into the proper connector. I recall a thread on here where there were some detailed instructions on the wiring. Let me see if I can find it.

Did you try metering out the wiring to find a key switched wire in the overhead console or did you just use the posted schematic? Mine is a 2009 so I have the same setup as you.

I did not. After tripping the SRS light in the dash I wired it down to the radio.
