it will be not easy to make it faster on track than SP90 XX, I wonder what will be the solution? downforce? low weight? Hard to believe that V6 will have more power than V8

I don’t think it is hard at all with proper engineering.

What is hard is to make a car to stand out for another 10 years until the next one arrived as a halo car which demonstrates not only what Ferrari is capable of today but also what is expected in the future as a tech show case, while maintaining the beautiful Ferrari design language.

Of course it will have more power than the Stradale XX; it's the hypercar!

No and He is not the only one that quoted this number.
As for the 812 Replacement thread mess. He is only keeping this going to piss them off. If they say nothing the problem will sort it self.

I'm so glad I found this thread as finding out that this car will be a v6 is a perfectly acceptable reason to drink tonight.

Crazy isn't it? I think, if it really is this way. AMG One and maybe the Ford GT is a good reason why it happened. If it's good enough to win championships then it's good enough to follow. I don't agree with it. I'd rather have Ferrari do something out of the "box" so to speak, like a big V10 :D. That'll make things exciting again. It's too easy to predict what these manufactures will do next and the thrill of it all is gone. Happy they come out, but the shock is missing. They're not so super anymore.

I agree completely. I kinda get why they do that, but at the same time it seems kinda messed up to put a v6 in a generally V12 (Well for the past 30 years) flagship car, but put the highly desired V12 in an SUV.

The 288GTO/F40 were small TT V8 but it began with them, This move is done by the board, because the world is caught up on this five trillion dollar lie. We are just lucky the tech is from winning race breed cars in GT3 and WEC hyper. The V12 in the SUV was to sell a **** ton. business 101

ferrari never made V10 road car, and never will. Let's hope they will design and make new V12 somewhere in the future (long, very long stretch)

    Really? When?

Also the Purosangue is far from being an SUV.

Imagine for a moment that Ferrari manages to hire Newey and that the latter imposes them to design a hypercar with an atmospheric V10 engine..

Keep in mind that Newey is an employee, at the end of the day. He can't impose anything, if Elkann doesn't sign it off. For the Valkyrie he chose a V12 though, even though his new track car will have a V10, probably for its shorter length, even though it is not as naturally balanced as a V12.

Although I am obviously biased in favor of the LaF, I would say the P1 is a really good and exciting car. I don’t think it “loses badly” to the 918 and LaF.
The car’s problem based on 10 years of history is mainly reliability and after sales service…

On optional Trofeo Rs only, which were much quicker tyres. The LaFerrari used the most road biased tyre of the three cars.
