812 Replacement Rumors

The interior is likely to be similar in electronics to the 296 or PS to save money using the same parts bin although layout of the dash and AC vents will differ. Seat will be the same as current cars (PS,396 etc)perhaps with different surface touches to differentiate it. For the GTS version I hope they update the hardtop mechanism to minimize the pontoons and also keep the full range of seat positions to accommodate us taller drivers. I hope they otherwise consider a targa type option for weight savings.

Funny you mention that. I just picked up my 812 from FoH from it's annual and I literally thought the exact same thing today when I was walking in the back looking at the two tones........

 

Heading to Miami...which one to pick?

IMO They'll go Two Tone as it gives them more options to sell

 

I’m of the same opinion but if roof is glass or mostly glass, will be hard to make that body color. If there’s the option of a carbon roof, then I suppose this could be painted for desired uniformity of color… and to hide ugly carbon weave .

I picked up the thread of the messages a bit, the prototype with the breadvan camouflage is not the GTS version, but just allows to test the active aerodynamic surprises...

 

There's a part that will have to stay black

 

First modern Ferrari V12 that should wear the white shade very well...

Unless I’m gravely mistaken this car sounds less and less like a GT car. Active suspension and Aero, jet fighter canopy, black roof and aero bits, purosangue dash and rear end etc. Seems like a big departure.

 

Ferrari always classifies 812/F167 as Sports Car, NOT in the GT car category. Those are Roma/Portofino/Lusso.

I too would have preferred an F167 Lusso (of course along with GT/GTS trim levels……VS given).

But……….does seem kinda cool you know…….

I am surprised how Ferrari has managed to keep it under wraps for so long. Only a week to go!

my dealer has not started taking deposits yet either.
