I agree with you that Newey is likely to retire. He might do some consulting work, but I'd be surprised if he came to Ferrari, when they've waved obscene money at him before and he turned out to just be shopping their number.

I'd never deny Newey's brilliance, but I'm not sure he'd fit in at Ferrari anyways. The man is a bit of a diva and has questionable ethics. Remember, he signed a letter of intent to work at Jaguar in front of the world, then screwed his longtime friend Bobby Rahal when he reneged, and cost the latter his job.

He loves the limelight for sure, and wants everyone to know what a genius he is - which he is. That's why he probably got upset about Horner saying that RBR's technical team under Newey is just as important as he is. That's something Newey doesn't like. He wants people to regard them as HIS cars.

Yes, when there are engine and hybrid freezes, Newey is the favorite. Hands down. But, when a team must be the whole package as during 2000's or the early hybrid era, he can and has been beaten.

And don't get me wrong, I'd love to see what he'd bring to Ferrari. But, I think Ferrari would do well without him.

I must congratulate Red Bull on imploding their F1 dream team in record time! Ferrari and Mercedes didn't do it this fast.

Maybe they're not all as wise as we assumed.

Newey works, at the moment, with RedBull F1 about 50% of his time.

Newey, on the side, does MotoGP, is building a submarine for RedBull, and is involved with the RB17.

Now, IF Newey comes back and works for anyone in F1, will he be given the freedom he had with RedBull?

Oh I have no doubt they'll offer that and more. I guarantee teams are ALL trying to outdo one another with fanciful options for Newey to the point Newey will have likely heard some weird stuff

Do you think that we don't have restaurants in England, and also local recipes?
But food is not a priority in life, and we don't dwell on the culinary like people do on the continent.
People who are fussy about food, and keep talking about it often attract strange looks
England's most popular restaurants are curry houses, and kebab shops are also well attended.
Britain is a multicultural country, so we have adopted foreign food, and most of our chefs come from abroad.
Apart from Indian food, we also find Mexican, Thai, Chinese, Moroccan, Italian, Greek, Australian, South African, and much more places that serve excellent food.

    William it was a joke:)

Fyi I lived three years in the UK 1986-1989 when racing Formula Ford, Formula Renault, first in Silverstone village then Potterspury village north of Milton Keynes.

I don't miss little chef (a horrible chain) but did enjoy a lot of Indian and Thai restaurants there. When I wanted a really good dinner I would head to London though.

I understand the dining scene improved a lot outside the city since, though they can't find proper staff since Chaosexit.

I meant waiters, that staff. An Italian restaurant for example needs waiters who understand the culture and are knowledgeable, trained in dishes and wines, helping you choose the right dish/ wine match.

If not it's a disaster. Brexit ha created a huge shortage of educated waiters in the UK, there was a big article about it in the NYT recently.

For example on a business trip in Madrid after a great dinner I asked the waiter for a snifter of Glenmorangie (single malt scotch). He arrived with a snifter big enough for a dog to fit in it and proceeded to empty half the bottle in it at full speed like coke:eek:. I was speechless.

Of course I barely drank any and expected a huge bill but he just charged me 8 Euros... only time I made a profit on a drink;-)

I won't say what country he was from but not English, northern European, barely 18 utterly clueless...knowing nothing but beer.

Actually the UK is above average on most obesity rate studies. People (like me) who doesn't care about food eats the cheapest, filthiest fried **** they're offered.

The vultures are circling around Red Bull, sensing the beast is perhaps mortaly wounded.

Ferrari is apparently desperate to get Adrian Newey at any cost.

Mercedes is alleged to have offered a $125M p.y contract to Max Verstappen in an attempt to lure him.

What will be left of Red Bull Racing ?
