F355 Market

Wonder what this car ultimately does for pricing? I imagine the seller, wants high $100’s ? I would be interested in this car just as a driver and fun car. You are paying up for the seats and the door panels It may or may not be a Challenge car, LOL. I should have bought the worn out one that no sale’d for $104 and ultimately sold for $94? And then robbed the good parts off of it and made this one more legit.

I will stick it out a bit and see how it does. I promise to never claim to own a Challenge car (if I win), just a hot rod 355

I don't think there's any debate that it's a challenge. The debate seems to be how valuable that is when missing a bunch of challenge parts... So it depends on why you want a challenge car. Do you want it for track days? Just drive it around? To drive one of the last Ferrari race cars on the street that you could? Gain entry into Ferrari race car exclusive events? All of the above?

 

I would look closer for the reason this car was fully repainted. You would be the man to do it.

Considering the car has factory headers, y-pipe, cats, and muffler… it picks up.

 

Sounds like a lightened flywheel too

 

I thought challenge cars had helper springs? I remember reading something about them from Rob @DeltaVee

 

Here are challenge springs. Short and thick. Chances are BaT car has standard springs.

So what challenge parts does the car actually have then? Just the front dampers, wing, and wheels??

 

Probably clutch. Not sure. Depends if the clutch is installed at Ferrari or the dealer. I’m just going to assume the original owner didn’t install the “kit” except for maybe the OMP harnesses.

Suspension bushings are definitely challenge spec. Probably engine mounts. Rear diffuser. Clutch housing has been drilled out to challenge spec.

Wheel wells.

Bilstein ECU and Injector ECU.

 

Challenge cars have the same flywheel I believe.

 

I'd be genuinely surprised if Ferrari used a dual mass flywheel in a race application
