Almost certain that those will be options. Half of the car comes in black and after we pay $34,000 for pearl paint we'll pay another $12,000 for the rear decklid painted.

Where is the proper press release?

It seems there is more weight and less torque (= less usable power). Essentially the 12cil accelerates slower than 812SF but 8-speed gearbox equalizes things somewhat.

The given width in Ferrari.com must be wrong.

Can we all give a round of applause to @Ingenere !

Absolutely NAILED this. It’s uncanny really. Down to every last detail. Considering that you had never seen the car and with the crazy ass camo hiding this thing to the very end … still NAILED it to the wall. Shape of rear, greenhouse, rear lights, wheel design even. Everything. Slab sided with slotted vent between front fender and swage line. All of it. Bravo lad!

Know why new leadership almost canceled this car?

    Because it’s boring.

Yeah and why is Ferrari caving to nostalgic fan boy chirpers who want EVERY 6 cylinder Ferrari to be called a “Dino” and EVERY front engine V12 to look EXACTLY like the Daytona?

Ferrari says ‘Here you go chirping birds … are you happy?’

It’s low key hilarious. But Steve Jobs would NEVER pander to the peanut gallery like they have.

Alright, time to wrap things up.

Thank you everybody for contributing to this thread. It has been quite a ride.

Kudos to Ferrari for keeping this car so concealed right up to the reveal.

I will let the severe disappointment marinate for a while and see if things change when we get to see the car in the metal.

    Exhaust emission limits
The provisional agreement reached today maintains the existing Euro 6 exhaust emission limits for cars and vans. However, the agreement limits the emission of solid particles with a diameter starting from 10 nm (PN10), instead of 23 nm as in Euro 6. This improvement reflects the latest developments in the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE). "

    https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/press/press-releases/2023/12/18/euro-7-council-and-parliament-strike-provisional-deal-on-emissions-limits-for-road-vehicles/

It's fine up to end of 2035. Please remember that Ferrari is a small manufacturer ( 10k annual car sales limit to the EU ) and they have different rules.

Absolutely. I am startled by how close it is to the final car, combined with the rear three quarter render from @isot .

The leaked images did not give me a good first impression.

Seeing the proper images of the car, YouTube videos. I am happy Ferrari has gone this direction. This car looks definitive and unique. It is the opposite of the Roma, which is essentially a marketing exercise in incorporating designs from other cars into a mass appeal product.

The 12C gives me the aura of a classic; simultaneously I feel like we are looking at a car from the next decade. The combination of these two is a feat of design. I am happy Ferrari decided to go an entirely new route from 812. I am happy they have not made it overly technical like the SF90, nor too bland like the 296. This car is a statement of the past and future combined. Ferrari should set the trends, not follow them. This car sets the benchmark. Great work.

But is there any other way to pronounce the Italian word though? It pains my ears to hear the Anglicization of Italian words if I could say that. At least if people know better.

I really wished that the haptic controls had been the last thing to detract me from F167. But that's the Apple (appliances) look with piano black inserts etc and uninspiring (too obvious) dig into the past.
At least the previous cars from the V12 family (I do not count the Puro here) had their own character. This one , the "Cilindri" is a sign of the lack of idea how to design a beautiful front engined V12 Ferrari, not to mention they even had no idea how to name it properly.

Yeaaah the name is a bit weird, I think I will just stick to calling it the F167. I think the design language (or the lack thereof if you happen to don't like it) will grow on us. We can cry, kick and bite all we want but Pininfarina is not coming back.

If this is truly a new platform I really wonder if this is the last 12 cilindri berlinetta (not counting the VS versions)?

Seems like a very high sunk cost into a short production run. And does not align with prior development cycles of underlying platforms.

Or is the intention that this platform lives on with a different powertrain in next iteration?

I can understand exhaust emissions limits, but oh the one regarding the noise level…

    Black… or orange? :)

As I noted already, there’s too much shiny black—though I guess this is just a way to get buyers to spend more on optional bare CF—but curious that that bit was missed.

Most offensive use of black for me is not the rear but the lower front bumper area—too PS-like for my taste.
