    Frankly I don’t care.
As mighty their team is, in the end this brand is just selling an awful beverage..;)

Red Bull Racing isn't a soft drink company, it's a top F1 team, previously Jaguar and Stewart Racing.
It happends that it belongs to a sponsor, like the Benetton team before.
When they arrived in F1, they brought a more relaxed atmosphere, like Mateschitzt wanted. .
As constructors, they have more than proved their worth, and been very successful.
I hope the team won't disappear like Cooper, BRM, or Lotus.

    where does this leave Ford

irony: they sold Jaguar (failing F1 team) to Red Bull, and now are getting back in as Red Bull is falling apart at the seams

Hilarious and utterly true. United - they are not. From the top down they are not.

Perez is really making effort to lobby for that next contract lol :)

--"I think Red Bull is in a great place and it has a very strong organisation with Pierre [Wache – technical director], Enrico [Balbo – head of aerodynamics] and Ben [Waterhouse – head of performance engineering]. I think the whole aero group is very strong and I think we are looking forward to the future.

"You've seen in the past at these big teams, big names when they leave they will always exist, it isn't down to one single individual. It is a whole organisation and I think Christian [Horner] has done a great job in preparing for the next generation of what is going to happen at Red Bull."--

Actual insider says something different. Inside the team the atmosphere is good, obviously a sadness that Newey is leaving.

Reads to me that it's a retirement thing for Newey.

Has Newey confirmed that he's going to "link up with Sir Lewis Hamilton."

Has Newey confirmed that he's even going to Ferrari?

    Exactly. NO BODY KNOWS!!!

I'm a "trafficker of information." I can fill up 2 pages here on FChat of all the articles saying Newey is headed to Ferrari. Or Newey is headed to Aston. Or Mercedes. Then there's YouTube videos saying the same thing. I have yet to see Newey's confirmation of what he is going to do after he wraps up the RB17 project with RedBull which is the 1st quarter of 2025.

You forget Williams, which could turn up as the latest alternative for Newey, I read this morning.

But I can't see it. I believe Newey is just retiring to enjoy his new yacht.

Nobody could blame him for that !

I’m guessing he’s just tired and need some good time with his wife and boat.
Then why an earlier exit in 2025 ?

Newey's role has already been less involved for the last few years. Upgrade plans are well on their way, championship looking pretty damn secure so far. My guess is he'll be attending fewer races from this point onwards as well and whoever will be the new CTO (Wache?) will be taking Newey's spot on the pitwall more.

so…what does that say about the other F1 designers?

    “Past his prime”…gimme a break
AI isn’t close to being capable of designing an F1 car at this point.

Adrian Newey no longer has any access to Red Bull's F1 data, following confirmation of his departure

“Adrian’s focus is very much now on the RB17,” he said after the Miami Grand Prix, referring to the Red Bull-developed hypercar that is Newey’s brainchild, and the department to which he has been assigned until his contract comes to an end.

“He’s not sat in any briefings over the weekend, other than the race strategy.

“He has no access to any data, he’s not drawing parts, and his focus is now on RB17 until the end of his [notice].

“He’ll be at some races between now and the end of the year, primarily where we have RB17 customers.”

Every driver and F1 personnel gave heartfelt congratulations to Lando!

Yet almost none congrats to Max, the least popular driver in F1 with all the fans and contemporaries. Not because Max is winning, but because he is abrasive and an huge anus......
