Wow, only three yrs between launches. The fact that is was scheduled for 2 yrs after Artemis 1 is disturbing enough. NASA delays its first crewed Artemis mission until September 2025 (yahoo.com) I hope Musk Starship is in lunar orbit when Artemis 2 gets there.
Given the complexity and number of 'moving parts' of the whole thing, I would expect an 'added delay announcement' on a yearly basis. .
NASA moon capsule suffered extensive damage during 2022 test flight (msn.com) Check out the pics in the link. Maybe should have said large potholes.
yeah, I'd call that a FAIL ....... How did NASA get that so wrong? did Boeing design it? Image Unavailable, Please Login .
We have known how to do heat shields for a long time now. Must be something with a low TRL or what should have been a low TRL.
Going to the moon...... Didn't Neil and Buzz do that in 1969? Or are we trying to prove we can still do it? And we thought the government and the country was a mess then. My money is on Cernan being the last guy there.
"It's inspirational!" ..........since a vast amount of idiots were not around for the last time it happened and didn't pay attention in History or Science class. I do find it silly that we want to go back to the Moon and set up shop. The excuse that it will be: "so much easier to get to Mars from the Moon" is just stupid. You could accomplish the same thing from Earth orbit and not spend a ridiculous amount of money setting up on the Moon. Even Star Trek story writers got this right with their Space Dock system. I just think that NASA has lost its way. Going "back" to the Moon proves it.
NASA has been a hole to throw money into for some time. Close it up. Fire everyone and auction it all off to private interests who are doing a lot more for a lot less. The US government proved in Nevada they cannot run a whore house without losing money. Why we continue to allow them to run anything but the bare necessities for the country defies logic.
LOL. When I saw this thread update, I thought they actually were going to launch something! Should have known better. What a clown show NASA is these days.
