That’s also a Bill Gelles car was sold to Obrist in 1985. There were only three original ones?

Gelles' '64 GTO was 5571 GT. Owned by Mr Pappalardo before him according to the GTO books.

    Yes 3 original '64 S2 GTOs plus 4 S1 to S2 GTOs.

My best guess on the 64’ Scaglietti is 5575GT. Carle Conway owned it from 74-78 and he lived probably an hour and a half from the track at the time, in Le Roy NY near Rochester. Not 100% sure if it’s the same though, but most likely the 2 GTOs were 5575GT and 5111GT

All the names mentioned in this thread were good friends of each other. The Ferrari Club of America was founded primarily to provide technical and supply resources in a time when there were none. Everyone helped each other keep these great cars running. Unfortunately that is no longer the case.
The cars these fellows owned were staggering and there are others from that area who had even more. We will never see anything like it again. I'm privileged to have known them all, helped with the cars, and call them friends.
Track Days have changed dramatically also, pristine trailer queens are the norm. The Watkins Glen photo will never be replicated.

    Well said!
Thats why it’s so important to keep the history alive to remember those events. I was never alive for any of them, I wish I was, but it’s really kind of fascinating to find all these photos of these events, because it was just a bunch of guys having fun on the track and driving their race cars home afterwards! Won’t ever be replicated in todays age.

I think that might have been Conways too, 4713GT. Not sure though, but it does look the same as his did

From the 1977 Watkins Glen photos:
I was running tech inspection that year so I was able to check out many interesting cars. Because of this, I didn't get a lot of track time on the GTC - maybe three or four hundred miles.
As written below from memory there might be some errors. After all, these photos are over 45 years old!
First photo: First GTO in line is a Series II # 5575 owned by Carle Conway. Three Series I cars. One owned by Mr Pappalardo, one by Bob Bodin (drove it from Minnesota as I recall), and I don't know the third one. 250/275 LM as I recall, owned by Lowell something or other.
Second photo: Possibly a 312 PB (Mr Sachs?). 250 TDF possibly belonging to Manfred Lampe(?)
Third photo: Lots of red - not a clue to whom they belong!
Forth photo: In the pits. 250 TR might belong to Mr Pappalardo. You can see the nose of my yellow GTC way in the back.
Fifth photo: Mr Conway's van, pulling his GTO #4713. Unique body, similar to a Lusso in the rear.
Sixth photo: I might be wrong but it could be a 340 MM Vignale spider, belonging to Sherman Wolfe.
Seventh photo - same as fifth.

Chassis 09855 in Spain, quite before being repainted grey and registered in the UK. The text in spanish says: "The 275 GTB/4 didn't get to arrive to the andalusian circuit. It withdrew in Trujillo, because of gearbox issues."

Neither red nor the current gunmetal grey is original to 09855.
She was born Oro Chiaro 106-Y-19.
Here's a pic I took 26 August 2022 in St. Moritz, Top of the World, Switzerland.

I didn't know it was now swiss-registered, and I never managed to find a photo while being Oro Chiaro. I guess it changed ownership during last two decades (or even more). Thank you Marcel.
