Poll: What do you think of the black strip between the headlights on the 12 Cilindri?

More concerned about the rear decklid.

 

FYI, it's impossible to change its color : don't expect to have it in any other color than black.

 

I´m not a fan of making exact copies of old designs, but as the rest of the car is not a Daytona clone, it´s OKish.

 

It looks far better in dark/rich colors. In the silver it just looks awful, like a corvette on estrogen

The design is ok at best. The car has no wow factor to me. The raccoon looking front black bar on the nose just looks weird to me, maybe I just need to get used to it.

Love the look from the rear tires forward, back not so much.

 

Agree with thx Enzo. Wheel size is cartoonish.

I like but but not the weird blade thing going in at the back, that doesn't look good on the sf90 and doesn't look good here, either.

I agree and hope this doesn’t turn into Ferrari’s bangle butt…that said, ff/lusso have aged well over time. For me, this is the only part of the car that gives me pause. Still absorbing everything. It’s quite understated like many of the newer cars to my eye.

I was hoping for something that would grab me hard and pull me in with a side of menace. I wanted a visual image to match driving my f8 a little too aggressively on cold tires…instead, we have something much safer. Nods to e-type jags, amg gt, and Roma with a side of Aston Martin are all things I see in this car in addition to the Daytona. All good things and easy to pick apart, but I won’t.

I am keeping in mind that ferrari has an irritating habit of testing my senses and “sensibilities” and with time have grown to love many models that I didn’t think I would.

 

Not a fan of any of the heavy black cladding. My wife commented that the car looks like a toy.

I personally like it.

It's the active aero flaps of the Spider that irritates me. On the Coupé they fit well with the sloping roof, on the Spider however they look aftermarket. I guess you can go Tailor Made and paint the flying buttresses in gloss black, essentially making the car two-tone.

 

The front facia between the headlights and the rear deck are things that, given a year or so, Ferrari will give you an option to spec in body color. I don't think this launch version will be "take it or leave it." There will be options.

 

Yea, I think we've see it before though. If enough people on Ferrari's special list start asking for a different option, there will magically be a change in ModisCS one day. I can see them standing firm on the front facia, but the rear deck? The front option should be black or silver, rear deckled body color or black.

 

It’s growing on me. Loving the greens.

I was going to post the rear as well but accidentally closed the window :-/. I’ll do it again this afternoon. I kind of feel like the black in the rear balances out the black in the front. Going through a green Ferrari faze right now for some reason though.
