Black trim is supposed to be there, but that’s more like putting a bandaid on a problem. Still supposed to line it up correctly. Gap between door and fenders should be consistent either side.

Well F40 rotors wouldn't fit anyhow. Hubs are completely different.

Right, Ken. Sigla windshields were discontinued years ago. My car's original Sigla windshield had to be replaced in 1996 after the car rolled over at Lime Rock Park. The replacement glass was Sigla branded.

When I bought the car in 2012, the windshield was pitted making it hard to see in the early morning and late afternoon hours. In 2017 I replaced the windshield with a Ferrari branded Pilkington windshield...

I’m thinking BaT challenge has seen track life. How extensive is hard to discern since the car was repainted in 2016. However, I’m not seeing signs of a hard track life post restoration. There are hardly any front rock chips.

Front windshield was recently replaced. Reason could be pits from past track days or de-lamination. Not because of a big accident.

Rotors and pads were replaced in 2021 and they appear hardly used since.

There might have been a minor incident around rear underside as the rear diffuser is busted along with the lower section of the wheel well.

Outside of panels not being put back with precision, I’m not really seeing evidence of a major accident with pics provided. Of course, removing front fenders, bumpers would help reveal what’s behind, but working with what we’ve got, I’m not seeing strong evidence.

Large 2-piece center section of the undertray has been replaced with the 98-99 version. These are usually replaced if excessive signs of wear/damage.

That in conjunction with the diffuser = off track excursion?

    Most likely.

I keep after my 1994 diffusers and undertrays with the one-piece center section. The only real damage that occurs is around the attachment holes. The fiberglass is easy to repair.

I believe this is the first 355 with a “premium listing” on BaT. Seller is certainly expecting $200k+.

    Back to parking brakes.

I feel all that needs to be done to retain OE parking brake function is to get different design hats. This would apply to F40LM brakes as well. Brembo discs are all at same at 355 x 32mm , so the hats should be interchangeable. One would just need rear hats from the Brembo GT kit.

    OR…

    Purchase Stoptech rotors and hats.

So which car is a better buy??

    97 Verde Mugello/ Cuiou GTS 24k mi.

    OR

95 Pre-Airbag White/White Berlinetta 26k mi. Probably only one left in the world in this color combo.

Both cars are currently for sale in Germany.
