I’m starting to not mind it. It’s less Lamborghini to me and more Zagato.

60 km/h seems awfully low - would have thought 140 km/hr or higher. Wonder if there's an override setting or a way to increase the deployment threshold speed.

actually more useful than the 812C moustaches ("not vortex generators" on what would be its back window), but completely absurd waste of effort, and complexity without any real purpose, 50kg is a "joke", you get more downforce with some heavy luggage, but, then again, the entire car is heavy.

So, at city street speeds the car will have these 'wings' rising up, that's going to be a very weird look that everyone will see, hopefully it can be completely deactivated, and, better yet, an option to remove it so it is not even part of the car at all.

I had heard this as well from some folks familiar with Ferrari. They’re not definitive sources but generally know what’s going on. They also said the allocations so far for the Cilindri are about 1/3 what they were for 812.

I’m not saying they’re right. Just an interesting datapoint.

Allocations will always be low because Ferrari has a production limit on the number V12s that they can produce and most are going to the Purosangue and that will continue to be the case for several years as it will continue to be very popular.

I believe the Cilindri will be lucky to see 1000 allocations per year (worldwide), probably more like 500-800/year, but production will go on for many years, maybe 8, so expect dealers to be very choosy as to who will receive an allocation at least for the first 2-3 years

A question for the experts: what does that bulb on the rear fenders designwise mean? Technically it is obsolete, maybe aerodynamics? Or just another Manzoni gimmick? Thank you.

Thanks! This document finally confirms the width.

    79.0" with closed mirrors.
    => 2006 - 2007 mm

Assuming that this figure presents the body width, we are now one millimeter away from truth.

P.S. Quite interesting that this hefty sized brochure did not have space for metric values...

Speaking of width. 12cil is only 1 mm wider than 812 when measured from outer sides of the wheels. But interestingly this is only because the front is exceptionally 1 mm wider than rear.

Typically the rear has been a bit wider than the front (in some cases significantly wider, such as in Roma: +67 mm).

    City street speeds?
Where I live the city speed limit is 30 km/h (or a bit under 20 mph).
At 60 km/h you'd go straight to jail.

Switzerland is a very different universe, would never want their rules. Here in Texas, 60km/h is about 38mph and many interior/city streets have limits 40-50...(64-80km/h) and nobody is going to jail for driving the speed limit...

Wow these front views also are sooo different. Also makes me love the F12 and 812 styling that much more. Was on fence about getting 12 Cilindri but am having difficulty convincing on looks a lot.

In Europe the typical city speed limit is 50 kph... Besides, I'm not sure I completely understand Ferrari literature but it seems to me that between 60 and 300 kph (quite a broad speed range) the movements will be decided by some software also considering lateral and longitudinal accelerations; it's not like the wings will automatically rise at 60 kph and stay up until 300 kph is reached.

For USA, 30mph (50kph) is "neighborhood speed" where people live, where an interior street is where businesses are located.

It will be very interesting to see if those wing flaps simply pop open at a predefined speed, I would like to see someone accomplish "lateral accelerations" at 200kph+ maybe on a huge sweeper of a turn?
