No updates since 3 photos.

And 2 months later, even the ViN and photo disappeared! Should I be worried that my car may have been reallocated to someone else?

 

Dealer could not explain why the VIN disappeared from the app but conveyed that somehow “this is actually a good thing and happens a lot”. The explanation doesn’t make sense.

 

So many odd ball issues at play outside of the control of your dealer or even Ferrari. Be patient. I am sure you will be beyond thrilled when the car arrives.

 

The dealer has been great. Totally agreed there are too many thing beyond the control of the dealer. I am thankful to have been given an allocation in the first place.

 

I find the same shrugs and blank faces at my dealer as communication with Ferrari is not always as smooth-flowing as we would expect.

I think a lot of it is misinformation or lack or information between the factory and FNA. Its something you have to get used to.

 

You could be right and it should be better. But I have had issue with ordering cars from other makers as well.

 

You know I wanted one of these BMW M2 cars with a manual box. I went to several dealers in LA. The BMW site said they offered them. Could not find one in the USA. Every dealer I talked to said "Yes, I could order the car but won't".

I'm like... so you don't want my sale?

They say: "Well, I have this beautiful M2 auto on the lot I can make you a deal on".

So much for ordering spec cars.

I ordered 2 Mini coopers also from the factory and 2 Corvettes from the factory. Same misinformation / poor communication. I'm like: "What the hell is GM's problem? Its ... Kentucky? You can't just make a call in the same time zone?"

I'm not excusing Ferrari. I agree its not great on that end. But it seems like a common thread in the auto industry that doesn't really like ordering "custom" speced cars.

 

It’s always had to get used to this lack of communication that you get with F cars, especially on your first order, but once it comes in and you drive it, you tend to forget how frustrated you were in waiting for it.

My pics showed up in the app a couple months ago. I was just told my car has left NJ port and is en route to the dealership.

 

Congrats. You should have it in your hands in less than a week. Please share pics with us as soon as you get your hands on your new baby.

you could go with beige, sabbia, or crema for lighter shades and for fun maybe pair it with a dark blue stitching for some fun contrast
