This looks like the black exhaust equivalent of the brown marks on the silver exhaust. I wonder when the Scuderia will come up with a solution for both ?

For the chrome exhaust on my 296GTB I used Gtechniq Metal, M1 All Metal Polish and Chrome Cleaner for All Metal which worked a treat, not sure how it will perform on the black exhaust.

Interestingly, I have the black exhaust on my GTS and there is no discolouration after 4+ months.

Same - no discolouration after 9 months and 1,400 miles!

So neither one of you have those white spots, and some of us do. I wonder what the cause might be then.

I suppose Ferrari or the dealer could have coated the exhaust but nobody mentioned anything.

Alternatively maybe additives in the fuel or humidity/water vapour picking up impurities in the exhaust system causing it.

I also think fuel quality and additives might have something to do with it… I am in the UK and only use BP and Shell premium grades.

the other thing to consider is quality control at the factory - there could be an issue with the finish / coating on certain batches …
