I have a 348 steering wheel on my car. When I bought the car, the horn was not connected. I had my local vehicle customization shop reconnect my horn so I can pass inspection. When they connected the horn, my airbag light came on, and remains on. They attempted to clear the light with their diagnostic tool, but we could not locate the OBD port. We looked at multiple threads on F chat showing the port under the steering wheel and dash and still could not locate it. Multiple, competent guys under the dash for 15 minutes and we could not locate it. Super strange considering we saw multiple pictures of 355 OBDs right under the right side of the steering wheel tucked right under the dash.

    I have 2 questions;

    1) Where is the OBD port on a 2.7 F355?
    2) Can the airbag light be cleared when running a non-airbag wheel while allowing the horn to work?

Again, I had no airbag light when my horn was disconnected. Thanks all.

2.7 is pre OBDII. There will be no port.

So how do you run a diagnostic and/or clear codes for a 2.7 car?

more likely they have disturbed the airbag bridge when they wired the horn.

as far as i know only way to turn the light out is fix the fault. but standing by to be cirrectec

The airbag connector in the steering column needs a 3-ohm resistor plugged into it, in place of the removed airbag.
The connector to clear the fault is a 3 pin connector located in the passenger footwell on the left side of the fuse panel. FYI, the TRW airbag electronic module is mounted in the forward section of the tunnel console.

A Ferrari SD1 tool will be required to clear the fault light. How far away are you from a Ferrari dealer or independent who works on 355s regularly?

You can ground pin 1 on the connector for 10secs to clear airbag faults according to the WSM

Unfortunately, this has been tried many times even by the experts with both types of airbag ECU with no success.

If these "competent guys" don't know that a pre 1996 car doesn't have OBD II you need to find other competent guys. Don't let those guys work on your car.

Also, all non-USA/Canada 355’s won’t have OBD ports, no matter what their age.

They're a vehicle customization shop, not a Ferrari shop. They're competent car enthusiasts, not mechanics. We were all searching F chat threads and saw many pictures of the OBDs under the steering column but no info discussing the 2.7 cars as not having an OBD port. They performed paint work, paint correction, PPF, etc. They're not doing mechanical work on the car.

I appreciate the other, helpful comments.

Forgive my ignorance, but is a 3-ohm resistor easy to source?

Anyone know which connector is the airbag connector or have a wiring diagram?

The Airbag cable will be yellow. Here’s a few photos of mine. Wondering if your 3 ohm resistor is simply disconnected, since the light came on after the horn button work.
