I've been doing some traveling in my 612 lately, and it is remarkable to me how comfortable it is to do 1000 kms (about 620 miles) per day. Up in the morning, quick stop for coffee, stop for lunch and gas, arrive for dinner... do it over again tomorrow. It really feels like this is what the 612's design team was aiming for.

One of the best grand tourers of all time, in my biased opinion!

My wife and I put 20,000 miles (32,000 km) on our Portofino last year. I love to see anyone actually driving their Ferrari.

Agree 100%. I always marvel at how smooth, quiet, and comfortable the 612 is while traveling. I honestly enjoy every minute of it. I'm grateful for the experience and I never take it for granted. I do have one negative critique, however...I wish my car had cruise control! Cruise control would make the experience an absolute "perfect 10".

It's incredible how smooth the car is. When we drove to the FCA meeting in Phoenix we did 4 days of 8 to 12 hours. We couldn't have been more comfortable if we were in a Maybach. :D

Oh, and I do have CC, but never use it, too much traffic. I wish it were radar CC.

Well, not having cruise control in my V-12 Ferrari might be considered a "first world" problem, so I probably shouldn't complain!

Great car to do long trips in, though I did have to keep adjusting the seat till I was happy as on my trip from Somerset to Gran Alacant my back did hurt end of the first day but once the seat was adjusted it was so effortless. I did about 4500km over 7 days with a 2 day break in between so 5 days of driving.

I just finished about 2500 miles over the last week-- Portland - San Francisco - Yosemite - Palm Springs - Reno - Portland. What a machine!

Since I bought it I have not yet been able to make my big trip with my 2005 F1. I have had mechanical and electrical problems. Soon the belt will be replaced and everything will be fixed. I hope to start my trip around the north of Spain soon

I congratulate you, it is really nice to use a 612 for its intended purpose :) I wonder if you really feel tired after driving 1000 km per day?
