I voted F12, I can't get over how they slapped together the front end of a Daytona and the rear quarters of a 296 w/o the air intakes. not to mention the rear end looks like an afterthought. I must say that I really like the interior

I like my F12 as I did each of my cars. I never cared for the 812 just something about it. so I never purchased one. I have not seen the 12c in person but think it looks pretty nice .. SO I suspect I would like the 12c ....

I'm keeping my F12, but did put a deposit down on the 12C coupe.

F12 and use the $$$$ difference towards fixing rust on mesh, sticky buttons, new battery, servicing, paint chips and make her as beautiful as possible... nothing in modern era as good as F12 for me!

I mean I already owned and drove an F12. Ferrari is always about moving forward. All things being equal with infinite garage space I would own all of these cars. But realistically on a day to day basis I want the newer car. F12 to 812 and now to the Dodici lol.

No one would choose an F12 over 12Ci in showroom with same spec.
Ferrari design is what it is - performance is not up for discussion.
The days of beautiful Ferrari's ended a long time ago - it's now about performance.
Models continue to become larger, many prefer road presence and a drivers car.
How someone can say they would prefer an F12 over a 12Ci which they have never driven or seen speaks volumes.

They are choosing F12 due to fact they cannot land on 12Ci ;)

Did you pick out your wife in a press release?
No one here has driven the 12Ci - can we at lease agree it's a pre mature silly thread to make F12 owners happy.

Not everyone cares about performance and how it drives. I think this thread is comparing looks only which is personal and subjective. So no, we cannot agree that this is silly.

I think we can all agree it's a thread on a forum of highly opinionated people who are passionate about their cars, and Ferrari. At the end of the day it doesn't impact the 12 Cilindri, nor most likely an allocation/purchase decision, so I just see it as good fun, and nothing more. Just my two cents...

    That's my entire premise -
So it's ok to have passion for one car and hate someone else's - agree it's just a forum.
When you see very few owners post their cars and experience - you may wonder why.

My feeling is, If someone's opinion of your car impacts you, that's on you, not them. I own an F12 because I love it, always have, always will. I don't think the F12 is better or worse than the 812, it's a different vehicle in my mind. What anyone thinks about it, or anything else I like is of no consequence to me. I don't procure any of my vehicles for other peoples opinions. I do however enjoy reading other peoples thoughts and perspectives, but I try to not let them emotionally impact me. If they choose to dislike something (hate is a strong word), that's how it goes for them. Again, I'm acutely aware that not everyone has the same mindset as me. To answer your initial question, it is indeed human to like one thing and potentially dislike another, and honestly that's ok and how the world works whether we want it to or not. In my mind, it's how we choose to respond that matters. I myself enjoy reading yours and other passionate responses especially if they elicit debate on the subject, which is healthy. If they digress into a toxicity spiral, that's another matter all together. :) Cheers.

I am just saying - a bit odd to have a thread based on a debut and state which one someone would own. Add there is a several 100k difference add only one in Spider.
What people fail to realize - Ferrari felt the 12Ci was the right car for their customers and their stock says they know their customers better than their customers knows themselves - watch and see :)
I remember the hate for many incl Enzo LaFerrari 599 etc - Ferrari's take time like wine and age incredibly well - the 12Ci will be no different. The presence and performance if the 12Ci is there and the V12's before will benefit, Ferrari changed the looks and helped the V12's of the past. Double win

Yet you are the one that explained no one would prefer an F12 over 12c. Can't have it both ways.

Folks like what they like new or old and for many reasons. Some seem to just want to flip for the next one because its the next one and then miss the previous one enough to repurchase. At least two folks on here traded their 599GTO for an F12B. Tomato - tomato.

    Exactly @Solid State.

I doubt that anyone thinks the car won't sell well. That was going to be true no matter what (within reason). It's a great car fundamentally, and clearly a lot of people genuinely love the styling.

I think most F-Chatters (probably not all) will also acknowledge that the car will grow on many of its detractors with time.

But some who don't like it today never will. That's normal - tomato, tomato, as you say. Time will tell how many remain in that camp. I would bet it's more than for the average Ferrari, but what do I know?

I'm the meantime, I enjoy hearing what others think - positive, negative or indifferent. Not because it will influence my decision one way or another. It's just fun banter.

I am simply stating why can't we wait til it's reviewed and seen in person.
Of course people like old and new - including myself and agree that the next best best thing is not always better than the last. If it's the final version - that's just my two cents.
Love speed handling performance first - I like a car however old or new to know it was the best representation at the time. When a factor pours in everything it's got - which means the final version of that mold

I bought my F12 without ever having seen one or driven one. I bought it because of what it is and how it looks. No 'regrats'.

So anyone who doesn't always want the latest of a car must be poor?

    Not rich vs poor...

I noted some are choosing F12 due to fact some are not able to land allocation. So they have no choice and sticking with F12s :)

Really you never saw an F12 - yet you bough one because of how it looks :)

Somehow it went from F12 to 12Ci - this thread is just too odd for me.
Love to discuss cars and impressions etc - peace
