Anyone know the cost? There were a few threads on this but they all had differing info. Mine will run out next year so seeing the options of keeping the car, changing the car. Love the 488 but if I keep it, will want an extended warranty for peace of mind.

    appreciate it.

New Power Warranty for a eight cylinder is $4,500 per year up to the 15th year.

There are discounts for renewal and if you had no claims in the previous year that may total $750.00

@SAFEFORNOW. I have a 2019 488. Extended my factory warranty which had expired unknowingly. I'm a little bit peeved because I understand now they are extending the opportunity to carry it out to seven years and I missed my window. I now have a powertrain warranty available to me for $6500 per year. Should I be pissed at Ferrari dealership for not letting me know? Or should I try to negotiate a better price for the powertrain warranty as a consolation for my emotional distress?

Neither. Up to end use to know when about their warranty and the price should be a set price.

Why do you think that it’s the dealers and the manufacturer responsibility to keep up with your warranty?

First person I know of that actually would’ve really appreciated, “Hi this is Amy, I’m calling about your vehicle’s extended warranty”.

Well, truthfully, If I'm in sales (which I'm not) would'nt you like to keep track of selling oppurtunities ? Also, is it a stratch to think after dropping 330K, the system would be more concierge like ? My porsche dealer keeps me informed so there's precedent. But, as you guys kindly point out.. I'm the dumb ass for letting it expire !

On my yearly service my dealer will told me I was getting close and presented me with extended warranty options for my 488. I knew the 1st 2 extended years were expiring though. It is truly up to you the owner to purchase the extended warranty and not the dealer to constantly bug you about selling you the warranty.

@Joseph Lombardi so since your warranty expired... can't you still get your car certified and purchase a 2yr extended?

There are a myriad of reasons why one might get pissed at a Ferrari dealer. Owners of luxury exotics have an expectation that dealers will perform at a level commensurate with the value of the car. Wrong assumption. Ferrari dealers are simply typical car dealers that do what car dealers do - screw over their customers in one way or another. Rant not over.
