I'm baffled by the proliferation of Dino Sales/Service signs offered on BaT, PCar and elsewhere. Can those who are knowledgeable offer opinions as to which versions are originals and who were the OEM suppliers? Thanks in advance.

There have been so many over the past couple of years that I have to believe almost all of them are reproductions. Most originals would be 50 years old now. How many could there have been, and how many of those could have survived?

I have a couple of old original signs. I have thrown more than it dozen away over the years, even though I wouldn’t do that now.

The originals were made out of a plastic that is so brittle and fragile from age that it would never even survive shipping. The number of signs that I have seen that are legitimate that have come up for sale Are few and far between. Now all these fake signs are coming out with fake patina and aging stickers. They may have sourced a legitimate old frame box, but the actual new Dino plastic is not original.

80% of the signs I see on BaT for sale these days are fantasy or newly made.

As someone who sells signs on BaT, I am continuously frustrated to submit original or older stuff and get turned down for a brand new neon "martini hotel sign"

But I supposed it's all part of the big game.
