That was pretty special wasn't it? My first reaction was that he wouldn't be able to continue due to flat-spotting his tyres, but he doesn't appear to have locked up when on the tarmac, so he could carry on.

EDIT: Just seen that he didn't finish the race, but it wasn't a tyre problem: On the run up to Villeneuve, Mansell tried to go around the outside, but Berger closed the door, causing Mansell to spin dramatically. The Englishman avoided hitting anything and ended up pointing in the right direction, he continued in second place, however, dirt and debris had entered Mansell's engine, causing it to overheat and blow-up a few laps later.

What about "Spin & Win" Danny Sullivan at Indy, when he spun a 360, and went on to win the race!

And was gifted a yellow flag pit stop under the yellow generated by the spin?

Initially it is luck; he could have hit the parked car or been T boned by someone following but there was no one. After that as you spin you instinctively get off the brakes at the right time so the car can regain grip.
Or course different people have different reaction times. For Sullivan at Indy Mario said he was just lucky.
