The F430 window button lights will not shut off. (The car is on a charger for the battery not go flat.) I have read thru a few related threads on this issue. Believe it might be on of the microswitches.

Believe it's on the passenger side door.
    Here's my observation:
    1) Pull the door handle, takes 2 to 3 seconds before the window slides down.
    2) The window will not roll down all the way into the door. There is a 1/4" window showing above the seal.
    (see picture)
    3) Closing the door, the window will slide up and back down. Then slides back up to the seal after 20 - 30 seconds. (see video)

Thanks in advance of additional troubleshoot suggestions and/or finding of with microswitch that causing this issue.

When you pull the exterior door handle really slow do you hear a faint click? Compare to the driver side and report back. The click is the microswitch engaging. It’s very faint but clearly discernible if the area is quiet. That’s how I narrowed my issue down. It clicked on one side but not the other. Lights went out after I adjusted the position of the switch. I didn’t need a new one as it clicked when pressed once off the car. Just wasn’t engaging enough as mounted.

I had the same issue with mine. It wound up being the microswitch on the exterior door handle. Try this, when you close the door, close it by pushing the door closed with the exterior door handle. That is how I narrowed it down in mine. If I did that, it operated normally. Also, when the door is closed, push the exterior door handle in (the opposite of opening the door). Then open the door and see if the window drops appropriately. I found that I had a microwswitch in there that was not aligned properly.

If you physically keep the driver's door closed when you pull the exterior door handle, does the window go down then back up 30 seconds later ? Note that the manual specifically says the inner door handle will drop the window and if the door is not opened (unlatched), the window will rise after 15 seconds). I don't know if the same applies to the exterior door handle. A false signal from either the interior door handle or exterior door handle may be causing the issue. Also, the exterior keylock assembly has a microswitch which is in parallel with the interior door handle microswitch. In theory, this could also be causing this behaviour. Can you lock and unlock the car with your key several times to see if the behaviour changes?

Assuming that's not normal, it would have to be a problem with the mechanicals, not with the electrics. The two issues seem unrelated.

Similarly, try cycling the passenger interior door handle several times to see if the behaviour changes.

It does indeed also apply to the exterior door handle. When I had my issue with the window drop, it was the microswitch on the exterior handle that was sticking open giving a false door open signal. The window would drop and then close itself after about 20 seconds when I closed it.

I've just completed the external door handle test... driver side, I hear a faint click after I release the handle. On the passenger side, mechanical noise but no click. Do you have the procedure to adjusting the microswitch? Thanks everyone for the quick input.

I think you'll have improvise. There is nothing in the workshop manuals. The microswitch may be broken or the switch lever arm bent.

Here is the proceedure for getting the door card off. After you do that, you may be able to reach your hand in and gently bend the microswitch back into place, but it is really easy to remove the door pull after you have the card off.

1)Remove the cable pull by loosening the nut on it as shown in the video.
2)Unplug the microswitch that leads from the door pull to the connector inside the door.
    3) Remove the two bolts that hold the door pull in (they are located on door jamb side of the door.
They are number 58 and 59 on this diagram

4)After you do the above, yoy can slide the assebmly out.
    5) Gently bend the microswitch back into place so that the switch is released when you pull the door pull and depressed when you release it.
    6) Assembly is reverse.

He could probably disconnect the interior door handle open microswitch before removing the card. If the problem persists, then that narrows it down to two microswitches: The one on the external lock and the one on the exterior handle.
