They were building 575Ms when that one was produced, but not US models. Wonder what happened to the luggage set?

It was probably unimportant or forgotten last time it was sold...

My independent service facility often has 3 or 4 Maranellos in house at any given time. The owner says that the blue one gets the most attention from other customers visiting the shop... ;-)

WolfofMainSt is the current high bidder now - at $170,550. I have not seen him "stay in to win" for any auction though... and this number may be just a little over the half way mark for this car. We shall see...

If someone pays more than $300 for that Tdf then I’m going to the bank and get the title to the NY bridge I’ve been saving in my safe deposit box ;-)

nice car but not north of $300 nice.

They just might pay about that +/-. Tons of Rosso and Nero cars showing up, but TdFs are few and far between. A lot of folks only want a blue Maranello...and will pay some sort of premium to get one...

I’ve said here many times…my Maranello origin story was when I drooled all over a Tdf 550 in the corporate housing I was in downtown San Francisco when the bank moved me here in 2001. My lust for Tdf is very strong….but still…..

Thank goodness for BaT sellers that there are so many extremely wealthy guys that know what they want and want it now.

As an owner and one who still also doesn’t understand the air kewled (sp on purpose) Porsche market….ALL Maranello’s have to go higher and higher but for right now…..?….

EDIT - I also want to say another thing…. Seeing higher prices is great BUT when 7 of us recently got together at Canepa’s shop and had lunch….i know we are all “well off” but I bet most of us are just “very comfortable” and I like that from this cohort. I want to be able to hang out with the owners… If they were all owned by “hundred millionaires” (or more) we would never see them out and about?

I don't see upholstered roof in the options list. It says coloured pillars and roof, but the roof isn't colored like the pillars. Is that in line with the usual nomenclature? I like the blue carpet more than the original beige, but I believe the mod will temper bidding enthusiasm a little.

Hard to say, but it doesn't seem to affect Enzo era cars. The same could be suggested if someone added the quilted parcel shelf, headliner or Daytona seats. It probably depends on the presentation.

The change to blue carpets would not affect my decision on this car if I was in the market. I would find it to be a plus, much like the other options above. I have had blue carpets a number of times over the years, including in my 550, and I like the appearance as well as how well they wear. The beige carpet Ferrari uses is just plain nasty IMHO and wears only a little better than gray....not a good look...

Yeah to me beige carpet looks dirty even when clean.

The blue replacement carpet in the car in question does seem to be a lighter blue than factory blue would have been, based on my own 550, which may be an issue for some. For an example of the factory blue carpet, see the active thread here re: the blu swaters 550 in the Netherlands.

For grins I spec-ed out a 2025 911 GTS on the Porsche configurator. As with all Porsches pretty much everything is optional. Porsche specializes in extracting maximum cash-ola from customers...my spec came out to $216k! Oof. No thanks. The last desirable 911 was the 997.2, IMO. But I'm an air cooled P-car guy so don't really care about the newer gen 911s. They've gotten too big, too heavy, too pricey for what they are. Plus you see them coming and going. Dime a dozen. Much rather have a nice Maranello or a 599 for that kinda money. Much more special cars and you won't suffer monster depreciation as with a new 911.

Current Porsche MSRP is insane. I spec'ed a C2 cab and it was $160! I was like "noooooopppppeeee" Feel the same as you. I like the older cars that let you know that YOU are in control v the new cars that are admittedly faster, but for me, have less soul.

That seller is screwing with us now adding that set of luggage! Argh!!!

ps is it just me or is it odd to see a 2000 with that specific option set. Don’t get me wrong…love it….just “different”
