    Hello there,

I want to install a new accumulator on my 2005 f430 which I suspect to starting being a bit lazy,
I made some researches and have found parts on several sites with prices spanning from 200$ to 1600$ ...
do you know why there is such a price difference ? Some parts are not OEM ?

SEQ parts is offering an accumulator for 200 Euros, but might take weeks to get, when my dealer has one imported from FERRARI US in 2 days for 1500$ US including duties...Seems expensive for a piece of plastic but I want to drive my Car in summer.

    Thanks!

It is not plastic, it is steel. The 'correct' ones are made by Magneti Marelli, and stamped into the steel with "MM" or the Magneti Marelli mark. Marelli was purchased by a large conglomerate several years ago, and that's when all the aftermarket versions started to appear in the market.

Check with Flash32 to make sure it’s actually your accumulator. I saw your Facebook post. DO NOT disable your e-diff as was recommended by someone.

Not sure if you need it or not; but if never changed, it is a good idea to do so, even if not faulty at this stage. I bought mine from seqparts, no issues. It was MM stamped.

You can PM me anytime so we can talk offline and then come back and report findings /solutions

Please do not disable ediff to mask a issue..not sure what the Facebook thread is about ..but if you want to see what is issue is and take from there we can

Mario is also right in both accounts ..changing the accumulator is not a bad thing (I consider it a wear item ) and seqparts is ok for accumulator..

I got mine from SEQ parts last year. Took 10 days to come from Germany. It's the Magneti Marelli one. Happy with the purchase.
Mine was the original form 2005 and was starting to get lazy, pump would cycle every 2/3 minutes. With the new one, it cycles every 7 minutes.
