Long story short, the gas in my car is over 2 years old as I have pretty much slowly torn the whole thing apart and put it back together..as I get closer to starting it for the first time in too long, I don't want to risk having any issues from old/ bad gas and want to replace it with fresh... Yes it had some stabilizer in it, but I have an electric siphon that attaches to a gas can...my question is, will the bottom tube between the tanks do it's job to shift the gas from the right tank to the left as it siphons out or is there any reason I will have to pull a rollover valve to clean out the second tank?

We siphoned both sides when I needed to empty the tanks to ship the car, and did not pull the rollover valve. We did end up jacking it up on one side to help the gasoline flow! But I’m not sure that was really necessary, if you have plenty of time.

We only took the tanks down from full to about 1/4 full, however. If you need to get everything out of the tank, it may be more challenging.

Why not extend your electric siphon suction hose, remove each pump cover, lift pump up enough to get your electric siphon intake hose to as low as possible and pump out each compartment?

I'm not trying to get it 100% dry, just put enough fresh gas in there to not have issues, If I got 75% out I'd be ok with that.

For starters, the last idiot that owned my car broke the electrical connection when replacing the fuel pump on the right side and epoxied it  I was hoping to avoid removing anything if possible.

I had to go back and look at the diagrams but I guess you are right. I did not notice that before. The gas tanks are almost full and I don’t have anything that will hold 20+ gallons so most likely I will siphon what I can and drain the rest. I’ll have to go under the car to find it. I may be able to put the gas n my old truck since it will run on cat piss…thanks for pointing that out.

I drained 5 gals at a time and transferred it to another car of mine. A lift makes it uber easier. I also made a 5 gal bucket with a hose attached at the very bottom so that all I have to do is hook up a hose from that bucket to a gas inlet on a second vehicle, and lift the bucket higher. No pump needed.

You know you want to drain ..but considering you had the stabilizer in it ..why not drain 5 7 gallons and add two bottles of sea foam ..leave over night or two and then drive like a grandma until it is empty ?

I had some cars (not Ferrari) with older gas and that worked perfectly

I've done so much to the car over the past year+ that when I start it, if there is anything amiss I want to rule out bad/old gas as the culprit.
