Anyone else submitting an application for the Mustang GTD?

I am not a social media person, this is why I was not approved for the Ford GT second generation. I am hoping ford learned that all those social media guys just flipped their cars and didn’t even drive them.

Pulling out some of the fleet in hopes it’ll help my chances. I drive all my cars, and track them, I just don’t post about it for others.

Some of the girls getting some sun. Going to pull out 10 or so, mostly Fords and make my submission video.

After the GT disgrace, I don't know why anyone submit an application.

I agree, they gave them to Social media people who had no passion and then flipped them for twice and much and the majority of them sit in garages not driven.

I hope they learned on these releases and change their way.

 

I hope they can't give them away.

I submitted an application. I feel reasonably confident about getting one due to a connection. But not 100% sure.

I know 2 people getting one.

I filled out an application but have zero chance of getting one since I’m not a “social media star” or an influencer.
Even though I regularly open track my cars and attend car shows, cruise nights, cars and coffee, etc

 

You are right. The GT fiasco soured me to Ford.

I wonder how many are enthusiasts and how many are speculators?

 

Did these 2 people attend the preview of the GTD in Las Vegas and were given individual medallion as a guaranteed allocation?

 

Same here but by looking at the many GTD application videos on You tube, a lot of them appear to be enthusiasts.

 

The fact you have to "apply" and "be selected" to buy a Ford is ridiculous

 

I started to, filled out everything right up to the video part. They sent me an email today asking if I was still interested (form email I’m sure)- I replied that I was interested, but I drive/track/race my cars for enjoyment, not a social media type that makes videos.

 

Yea, that was the hardest part for me. My 1 minute video took almost 2 hours and dozens of try’s. Whole time I kept saying this why I don’t do social media

 

Weird part, I just got an email saying they accepted my application. I’m not naive enough to assume I am actually in the hunt- I’ll be one more application to make the numbers look better for marketing. If I were to get one- it will live at VIR (one can hope anyway).
