From what I had read, the primary difference was tread depth and maybe some minor change in compound. Clearly I did not understand or I am an idiot, both are definitely possible.
That was the difference between the K1 MPSS on the GTO and the K2 MPSS on the F12 in the same sizes, tread depth and width.

In the fact that may only interest me…the date codes have these tires manufactured in week 19 of 2024. My tire guy received them 2 weeks ago and right now is week 23. The advantage of being in France I suppose.
