Sounds like my comment struck a nerve huh that your outing me for being a verstappen fan without even knowing if i am or not, just because im dutch doesnt mean im a Max Verstappen fan. Im a fan of Scuderia Ferrari, not specifically any drivers anymore since "Der Rekordmeister" has stopped with F1...

If i had to chose a driver, or 2, it would be McLarens pairing.

Exactly right. NO ONE would give the "keys to the kingdom" to the guy who's leaving. But it gives the Hamilton Haters some more fodder, even if they clearly didn't think it through in their haste to body slam him...for the 1,000,000th time.

Got to agree with the englishman here... I feel like Lewis doesnt have any edge. Im sure he is trying hard and pushing but he stays well within the limits not trying to push more than necessary

Russell is 7 to 1 in beating Hamilton in qualifying for 2024. Russell is also beating Hamilton in the points.....again.

He’s clearly past it. Truly a boneheaded move on Ferrari’s part. Kudos to him though for pulling it off.

He just can't get over the fact that he didn't break Schumacher's record. Complaining about the race where Max beat him and won the Championship is as childish at Massa complaining about the race where Hamilton got it on the last lap. They all need to grow up.

So Ferrari will have the false brag of having a multiple champion…..none of which was won in their car.

You’ll all be cheering for Hamilton when he’s racing for Ferrari soon. Wonder how you’ll cope LOL. Time to accept it and welcome the legend to the team.

Nope. As I’ve explained before I’ll be cheering for Charles but not Lewis. Unless Lewis has a major turn around in performance it won’t even be an issue as I highly doubt he’ll be a contender for the WDC based on what we are seeing now.

He is a marketing/merchandising hire. IMO today’s Ferrari doesn’t care about winning as much as they do about making money.

I also have doubts about Hamilton making an impact on the championship in future years.
I think the Elkann-Hamilton deal has other goals than winning titles.

I get it you don’t like Hamilton but come on…the race steward making up rules…
Hamilton had the race…and the WDC won. And then…he didn’t, not through Max’s brilliance, but Massi not knowing the rule book. No doubt YOU would be unaffected by this:rolleyes:

Let's be fair, Abu Dhabi 2021 was karma for Hamilton.
Verstappen deserved the title more than Hamilton.

Hamilton may have deserved to win the race but Verstappen deserved the championship.

Uh, no..."fair" is running the race, start to finish, by the RULES. "Unfair" is making up/changing the rules at the last minute which will alter the outcome, which is exactly what happened in 2021.
So now you're thinking that WDC's should be determined by "karma" or who, in your opinion, "deserved" it more. Gotta hand it to you, that's about the most inane thing I've ever read here (which is saying a lot).

Great. Why are we keeping up with silly "points" anyway. Let's run the entire season and then you and William can decide who "deserves" the WDC.

Like who? Please give the reasons aside from "he was a great driver". We can all have opinions of good drivers that never got the chance with a good car, but as for how a single season went down, I believe it would be very hard to find a more deserving season than what Max had in 2021 but didn't win.

Like when Masi announced that lapped cars would not be allowed through with about 4 laps to go completely going against normal SC procedure?

What is endlessly hilarious is that Sainz fans have more to complain about Lewis fans. Max and Lewis restarted in the exact position they should have. Max had to race his way passed Lewis, who failed at defending.

I know, and Id like to know who. Sorry if my wording is a little confusing. I would just to know some examples of drivers who deserved to win the WDC based off the season they had, not just because they were "good drivers".

Deserve? lol. If he wins the race he wins the championship. You can't separate the two. If Max let Sir Lewis Hamilton close the gap in points the last few races, he deserve what he gets.

All Lewis had to do was defend for one lap. Even on poor tires he should have got it done. :p

Truth is in his later years he has grown accustomed to being out front and not being challenged. Anytime anyone dare attempt to pass him he’s on the radio crying about “dangerous driving”. He’s become a spoiled primmadonna who has lost his hunger. The younger Lewis would have defended properly. He’s a victim of his own success.

A championship is won over a season, not a single race.

If Lewis could hit an apex he wouldn't have crashed out Max in Silverstone, and Lewis wouldn't have got a +25 point swing undeservingly. That alone has Max winning the championship in Abu Dhabi without having to pass Lewis on the last lap.
