What 1 race ban? I thought he was just receiving a grid penalty in Canada. As for why nobody likes him. How many times has he collided with teammates, let alone anyone else? There was like 3 times where he and Perez crashed together, though Perez was responsible for half of them. He over aggressively defended against Alonso while they were teammates on a couple occasions. He completely wrecked Alonso in Brazil and took zero accountability for it. Out of the car, he's a very nice guy. But in a race, he is a very poor racer and arguably a dirty driver. What's worse, is when he makes a mistake he takes no accountability. Hard to respect a driver like him IMO.
He’s basically stroll but with more skill. Shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near a car. A danger to every driver on the grid, especially Gasly. The chip on his shoulder dominates his thinking to an unreasonable degree.

The guy is a trouble maker, always sarcastic to wind up people in the pits (i have been told), and never taking any notice of any instruction. I don't think his mechanics like him much.

Looks like a clever and composed guy when interviewed by French television. On track he’s absolutely unable to deal with the wheel to wheel fight. He’s becoming a very solid driver with experience but he won’t never be a team player. He’s counterproductive for the team and Famin perfectly knows this..
Being wreckless as Magnussen or Stroll is tolerated, as long as you behave with the other side of the pit. Ocon has crossed that line too many times. Sad, as he´s been regularly outperforming Gasly.
Good riddance! A nasty little pit viper with psychological issues he refuses to face. Any future contract he gets will include a heavy duty clause about teammate battles. He is also interestingly one of two drivers to completely misunderstood what the Goodwood festival was about: communing with fans. In a magazine column about it he spoke only about performing, zero talk about the fans. The other driver you ask? A certain Ralf who hated dealing with the public.
Fired by Alpine - win. Hopefully he doesn’t get a seat for next season. There are plenty other worthy drivers and rookies desperate to deliver value in an F1 seat.
I suspect this will be the end of F1 for Ocon. Lots of better options fighting it out for the remaining seats and he has just been too toxic with teammates to make him worth having.

That's an issue for his team. Kmag and Hulkenberg were recruited after the Schumacher- Mazapin fiasco. Kmag has been a loyal team member since.
