    Hello,

    I have a 2016 488. I recently had the two warning show up. The parking brake was on and I wasn't able to release it. I disconnected the battery for a while, then reconnected it and was able to release the parking brake. Considering the battery was 5 years old, I replaced it. The issue still remains. I've read that the AVH module might need to be replaced. Has anyone had this issue?

    My EPB went bad around 18 months ago, brakes were unlocked and the module wouldn't lock them. EPB/AVH error would come on the screen every time I start the car.
    The EPB/AVH module lives behind the rear driver side wheel/behind the bumper. I pulled it out and tried to diagnose/repair it but couldn't find anyone knowledgeable enough for the job. In the end I managed to source a good secondhand item and sold my faulty module on ebay for spares

    I have replaced the rear caliper control unit and the parking brake switch. I still have the AVH/EPB error. Any other ideas what might be causing the errors?

    what errors are you getting from the OBDII tool?

    might be worthwhile go to a good indy or a dealer and read the codes
