    The four round switches in our vehicles are as follows.

    Hazzard: 157477 (on/off)
    Dome: 157478 (on/ off) NLA
    Fuel Flap: 157480 (momentary)
    Parkers: 157479: (on /off)

    I am in the situation where I have a broken Dome switch that I cant find a replacement for as only the dome switch is NLA from Ferrari.

    I was wondering if I could use a Parker switch instead in that location.?
    The bases of the two switches look identical, but because of the indexing of the lower black plastic prong(reversed left to right 180 degrees the parker light wont fit into the dome plug...

    Does anyone know if i grind the prong down to make it fit the plug that the parker switch will work in the Dome plug..?

    Also notice there is a FORD emblem on the underside.. Doea anyone know of a interchangeale part for the dome switch with another model vehicle..

    The switch internals look similar, but the wiring diagrams don't give a pinout, so we can't assume. We have to get the polarity of the LED correct.

    Can you confirm that the GR (yellow/red) wire goes to the same pin on each switch?

    Maybe you could make a list of pin vs wire colours?

    The dome light switch has white/black, two blacks (jumper) and yellow/red.
    The Park light has red/black, violet, black and yellow/red.

    I assume the smaller pins are for backlighting (pins 3 & 4). I'm wondering if the key indicates the polarity of the LED?

    They are both identical..

    I used jumper leads to bypass the indexing on the plugs.. They function exactly the same and are thus interchangeable, as long as you cut off the smaller of the bootom indexing spikes on the underside of the plug


    On the Dome plug.. ( pin 3 and 4 light up the LED)

    Pin 3 is ground, (Black)
    Pin 4 is +ve ( Yellow /red stripe)
    Pin 1 ( white/ black stripe)
    Pin 2 ( Black)

    Pin 3 and 2 are looped


    On the Parker plug Pin 3 and 4 are for the LED

    Pin 3 is ground, (Black)
    Pin 4 is +ve ( Yellow /red stripe)
    Pin 1 ( Red/ black stripe)
    Pin 2 ( Purple)

    Does anyone know of an interchnageable cross referenced part number for any of the round switches..
    They have a ford part number on the underside. Ford: 83020

    So the illuminated figure is in the proper location (controlling what the image on the switch indicates.)

    I searched and searched for the FORD part and cross reference and never could find it. I do have a box of buttons and switches, if you wanna PM me with want your in nood of, I can look at what I have,.

    Nice find Qavion.... But as I suspected the Ford p/n refers to the base (Flat part where the pins come out) of the Ferrari switch.
    The flange at the top of the body of the Ferrari switch is different to the Ford one, Its more rounded on the edges on thew Ferrari, and more flat on the Ford one.
    Still kudos being able to find that..

    Also I need confirmation if the remote mirror switch illumination is unnafected by turing the parkers on/off.
    Im my vehicle turning the parkers on/off shuts the HVAC illumination off but not the remote mirror switch..
    Can anyone please confirm..?

    By parkers, do you mean sidelights when turned on using the stalk switch or the console switch or both?

    When I turn on my ignition, my mirror switch and HVAC stop and recirc buttons illuminate. Turning on the sidelights, using the stalk, illuminates the HVAC background lighting. Nothing happens to the mirror switch panel lighting or HVAC stop and recirc buttons.

    For info, the Park Light Annunciator on the dash is designed to extinguish if both the console Park Switch and the stalk switch are on at the same time.

    Power for the mirror switch (and mirror panel lighting) is from fuse 25 (on the 5.2). Relay "P" controls power to the fuse. Relay P is energised with the key on, but de-energised during engine start.

    Dave Lelonek of Sticky Rx said he might have an OEM switch for you if you have no luck finding a Ford part.
