I'd like to lower my all stock 2008 F430 Spider about 1.25-1.4". I attempted to do this myself with the stock coilovers, but wasn't successful. I pulled the front right, compressed the spring as much as I dared, but couldn't turn the adjusting perch at all. Shock was clean and well lubed. Guessing there was still too much tension in the spring, pushing down on the perch.

I'm remote, so taking the car to a Euro shop and having them do the adjustment is going to be pricey, and I'm not sure I'd want them working on my car. I'm guessing $1000 to lower all 4 corners.

An alternative would be to source aftermarket shocks with lowering springs already installed. I can do the swap myself.

Has anyone gone this route and can recommend a supplier? I don't want to get too crazy with the budget.

I'm pretty sure he bought new shocks or had his rebuilt from a company in Europe

I know KW has a couple sets for the F430, including a set that can be combined with a liftkit to prevent damage in the case of speedbumps/potholes
