Those are decent miles indeed. Looks well loved.
Not on BAT but I came across this... https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/inventorylisting/vdp.action?listingId=345149680&entitySelectingHelper.selectedEntity=d440&sourceContext=google&cgfv=0.25&cgfr=4&cgfab=Q&ax8324=503&px8324=p2&dnetworktype=r&cgfdate=202466&cgfloc=en&pg8324=pmx&type=&kw=&matchtype=&ad=&placement=&device=c&devicemodel=&adposition=&cp=20489805974&adg=&fi=&tid=&lc=9032053&lm=&tgt=&aceid=&cgsp=sp47659&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIzM7LzIHKhgMVuhetBh2HWgDBEAQYASABEgI6wfD_BwE&pid=mini_vdp_main_image#listing=345149680
That one had been discussed here: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/threads/is-this-neglected-575-worth-the-stretch.688273/
The F40 was heaven IMHO. I have been lucky enough to track lots of special cars, and the F40 to me is the king daddy!
This one has been for sale since I was shopping for my 550 in summer of 2002. It was about $110K then - I see they haven't been able to move it.
550 Days at the dealership! Ironic number, but still.. I wonder what the real story and problems are? Image Unavailable, Please Login
If I had the space and an extra 100k burning away, I'd love to entertain this one.. but alas. Other cars that 100k would excite more first probably too. Plenty of Idled cars in collections, and how exciting is a barn find to acquire.. but does make you wonder why a car like this has been in a dealer inventory for as long as it has, not asking terribly high money on the surface..
I knew a guy in Houston who did this. He made his money in apartments. He spent his money on cars. His mechanic used to groan when a new eBay car came in. Just as well though. I think the Big C got him.
97, GTA 28k miles. Sold for over 80,000 . The market on these is going up ! Great results Image Unavailable, Please Login
@Texas Forever: Just buy Nifty’s old car on eBay from Merlin. You’ve been talking about buying another 550 for years. From what we all understand on here, that’s about as sorted of a 550 that you’re ever going to find. I don’t have a song video to link to for you, but if I did, it would be something about we’re not getting any younger…
Just FYI, I have commited to buying Bill Karp's car as soon as my ship docks. Currently, the ship is somewhere outside the harbor.
Dale- Bill's 550 has been dealer maintained with cost no object. Great choice and you do not have to worry about driving her.
Another day, another TdF Maranello... https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1999-ferrari-550-maranello-37/#comments-anchor

Never heard of this auction site @Ferrari55whoa look it's in Iowa.. buy it and you can have a matching car for your road trip coming up
I don’t recall how I stumbled on that but also saw it and thought how bizarre….not far from Grandma’s house! EDIT I think I saw it on the private Facebook Ferrari for sale sight after I saw Nifty’s listed there as well…the ask as I recall was just over $200k which is robust for a car historically from Japan
