Did RBR actually make an offer to Sainz? Danny Ric went after the lucrative contracts and look where it got him?

Nobody is understanding what’s going on with Sainz right now..
I still believe he will chose Audi in the end ( rightfully)

Sainz appears to be reaching his peak as a driver, a few seasons in a nowhere team won't sharpen his skills.

Both Ferrari's were barely missed Q3 and were separated by just a few hundreds of a second. Perez was a full second slower than Max.

Logan Sargeant is by far the worst driver in F1 and has outqualified Perez two races in a row. At what point do we fairly get to blame Perez for under-performing?

I still haven't see any official statements saying Red Bull offered either Alonso or Sainz the 2nd seat in 2025 yet I've seen rumors from fans claiming they both refused an offer. In F1, drivers always want to be in the best car. It makes very little sense why two very capable drivers that already have plenty of money would turn down a seat in the best car. Especially when their other options are slow teams like Audi and Williams. Nah, I don't think a Red Bull ever really tried to get either of them.

I've always thought Perez was overhyped, but he earned his spot with Red Bull in 2021. He wasn't any worse than Albon or Gasly against Verstappen. However his quali performance in Canada was horrendous. And this isn't the first time he's performed so badly. He's enjoyed the best car for a few years now, and how many times have we seen him fail to get out of Q3? That just isn't good enough.

Exactly !! This is very suspicious, IMO.
It looks to me more of a technical issue than a fault from the driver.
But as a good team player, Perez didn't reveal anything.

Perez has always been full of excuses and even Red Bull has made silly claims like having a plastic bag stuck in his floor which cost him performance. Helmut Marko tends to blame the driver when they don't meet his expectations and he's saying it's Perez.

Perez is pretty much always going to be 4 or 5 tenths below Max. Of course with how close all the cars are that could mean a lot of grid positions. Had he performed to his normal level, he would have likely qualified 8th or there abouts. Not great, but at least not embarrassing.

Well again posted - Marko said its not the car LOL. Its the lack of mental fitness of the driver. 10mil a year for this LOL!!!!!!!!!!

Perez's current F1 issues "psychological", not car issue - Marko
Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has shared his opinion on the difficulties plaguing Sergio Perez following the Mexican's Q1 exit at the Canadian Grand Prix.

Yes, Marko explains everything at Red Bull as a "psychological issue".
We know that type of propaganda, it has been around for a while in that team.
It's unfortunate that some people accept it without questionning it.
The fact is that with the narrow window within each session, it's very easy to fall off the cliff.
A slight change in setting, a wrong choice of tyre, changing track conditions or even not finding a clear lap can happend, and ruin qualifs completely.

perez did his lap in the same minute as Max, same tyres that were put on at exactly the same time.

At some point the excuses stop.

But the question is...who do you replace him with?

It seems Red Bull themselves stalled on that question.
REd Bull re-signed Perez, only for Marko to slagg him off only a few days later.
Make that what you want ...

How fitting Perez puts himself out of the race. Post race he claims his car had problems in quali. Yet with a car in tip top shape he made zero progress in the race and couldn't keep the car on track. Meanwhile there was passing for the lead.

Yet the press says ‘harmony’ is restored at RedBull. Make no mistake as long as Max wins this Perez issue won’t affect them but be annoying with excuses the standard response. If it’s psychological then Perez has not accepted his ‘status’ yet.

If Perez actually got the car in Q3 or at least showed capability of overtaking a couple of the much slower cars, he wouldn't get slagged off. His performance was abysmal all weekend. And Perez said the same. He knows the team he signed for. Does he or anyone else really think anything positive should be said about this?

I think it shows poor management when a team has to criticise a driver, just after they re-signed him.
Red Bull made the choice, they have to live with it, if they made a mistake !!!
When there is a choice, would you criticise a product just after you picked it up from the shelf to put it in your shopping basket ?? The mind boggles ...

It's Peter Windsor so take it for what it's worth.

Peter Windsor, a guest on CameronF1 spoke about the Red Bull Powertrains project for 2026, and said: "I spoke with those responsible for the Red Bull engines in Barcelona."

Windsor: "They will not disappear from the top of F1 in 2026 and they will not have a slow engine. Many in F1 will be shocked by how good their power unit will be, I'm absolutely certain it will be a great engine."

When you have Honda IP asw the baseline and you hire Honda people that might be accurate. If its 15hp down in F1 it will be considered slower overall. The question is the synchronicity between the chassis and the motor as well.

Verstappen says latest Red Bull row "could have been avoided"
The Formula 1 world champion has waded into the latest conflict to engulf his Red Bull team

Max Verstappen says the latest row between his father Jos and Red Bull Formula 1 team principal Christian Horner was unnecessary.

Jos Verstappen had accused Horner of blocking his appearance in a parade before the Austrian Grand Prix on Sunday.

While the F1 team says it did not try to stop him from appearing in the event, which is organised by Red Bull's Austrian HQ, it did not want to use the imagery or footage on its social channels.

Verstappen Sr was left furious and has since withdrawn from driving in the Legends Parade in protest, but not without taking aim at Horner.

In an interview with Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Verstappen said: "Over the past few days, I have heard from several people that Christian Horner did everything he could to make sure I didn't drive.

"And to otherwise make sure nothing would be filmed. Then I think: say it to my face. This way I don't want to do it anymore, I find it very disappointing."

The comment has increased tensions within the team and again pulls Max Verstappen into the firing line.

He had only just pledged to stay with Red Bull on Thursday, after ongoing question marks about his future at the team, despite his long-term deal that runs until 2028.

But after being questioned about the latest in the long-running saga, the Red Bull driver said he is siding with his father which is set to increase tensions once again.

He said: "Naturally, of course, it is not nice, for myself, for my dad, for Christian or the team. Of course, I don't want these things to happen.

"My dad has been quite clear about the reasons behind it and of course, I can understand his opinion on that because, at the end of the day, he gets asked to drive the car and finds out he is not wanted to drive the car.

"Well, my dad actually doesn't care, but he was asked to drive it for the Dutch fans. Red Bull - we have a great relationship with the whole track.

"And I understand the other end is to focus on performance that it takes, so I want a good relationship with everyone, but of course this scenario could have been avoided."

It comes on a weekend when Red Bull was due to celebrate its 20th anniversary in F1 and again puts the strained relationship between Verstappen and Red Bull Racing under the microscope.
