Does that mean it wipes be super thin? And made of titanium? I hope it comes in Rose Gold… Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Ford could not buy Ferrari, so apple is taking it from within smh. I can't believe Piero Ferrari is letting this happen
Another question is whether the all-electric Ferrari will be coveted in the same way as the mechanical V8 and V12s. The way an original work of art or a mechanical watch or a Faberge egg is treasured. Does a 1,000 pound lithium ION battery wearing a Prancing Horse or God Forbid 'FIAMM' stamp be as revered as the red wrinkle finish on cam engine covers?
It loses it heart/Soul and with that most of the emotion. It basically just become a body with a badge slapped on. Most of the sense are gone or are reduced to a poor level. Much like the affect of an Antidepressants your feel numb.
I am hoping to hear a different point of view. Maybe see how RR Spectre is selling Otherwise why doesn't Tesla sell a $500K (USD)model Will the Ferrari all electric come with non-sticky buttons? Rolex will offer a digital Daytona watch! Ferrari needs to enter the game of world politics Make some donations and hope to keep a small producer of ICE alive
I wasn't disagreeing with your rhetoric. How is it selling? Though regardless, the proposition of an EV RR makes more sense to me than an EV Ferrari. The ICE is so intrinsic to what makes a Ferrari a Ferrari, at least for me. I'm trying to be open-minded. I'm finding it hard though.
Yeah an electric RR is more in alignment with their tradition Maybe Ferrari will offer an acoustic package which will replicate the engine music and low freq vibrations of their NA ICE engines? Drivers can select if they want to experience rhis in the inside of the cockpit and/or show it off to the outside world! I really don't think the 'natural' sounds from the Ferrari or Toyota Hybrid Le Mans Hypercars are musical.
I wonder how this would be received. It wouldn't win me over if that's what's needed to make the car appealing.
Exterior design and interior design, performance and handling will continue to define Ferrari Racing too. What is to become of endurance and F1 after 2035? Trading cars or hot swapping battery packs during the race?
Being designed by apple so most of that's out. as for Endro Race don't count on it. The way auto makers are going EV will be well out of mainstream by then. Many F1 teams are wanting to go back to full ICE aka V8/V10 and run them on Bio fuel
but Bio fuel !!! which I am ok with for the moment as its a good step in the right direction. Just know you will smell hot chips all race weekend lol
Just published today In Prevention Mag(or is it Rag?) Ezra Dyer reports on an Ontario,Canada study of 529 undergraduate business students- the majority liked loud exhaust cars and they scored high on the psychopath and sadism scale. No surprise there-undergraduate business students are probably all psychopaths But seriously the educated elite are trying to paint people who like loud cars, motorcycles and trucks as near arson level psychopaths- using that narrative they will eliminate all ICE cars in favor of silent EVs- like that will make us less psychopathic. Lithium for the unwashed masses…hmmm. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I'm OK with that! I'd miss the smells of the pre-hybrid era, but if we got some high revving NA screamers back, that's a trade I'd make all day long. F1 hasn't particularly interested me since the new engine format was introduced in 2014. I have other complaints (DRS, paved runoff, ugly halo, etc.) but I'd probably start watching again if they started to sound like F1 cars once more.
looks like I am in the minority here, but I am quite excited about 100% electric Ferrari and will not hesitate to place an order if a slot becomes available. I have a Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo now and have so much fun driving it. I am sure an all electric Ferrari will be fantastic.
What do you hope the EV Ferrari will offer that your Taycan doesn't? No wrong answer. I'm interested in others' perspectives. Also, I'm not sure if you're in the minority. Perhaps you're in a quieter majority. We may get a better sense in due time.
The Italian leather and craftsmanship, the cool design, the amazing sound (I have read they are working hard on this aspect), and the intangibles that everyone understands when they open the door of a Ferrari, sit down behind the wheel, and press start.
By the way, I am under no illusions that Ferrari will get the tech perfect. Porsche does a great job with the electronic interface and responsiveness.
I fear Ferrari is rushing towards a half baked EV- they have little experience in this sector and don’t have the deep pockets Porsche has(I could be wrong and Ferrari hits it out of the park) If they do make it, I hope it vibrates and snorts and coughs just like an ICE car but with the instant torque and acceleration of EVs and weighs less than 2 tons(cabin tub please to cut weight!) I have zero interest in a Ferrari EV. EV’s don’t solve any real problems. If I wanted a nice EV, I would order a Porsche Taycan as mentioned. Had a Model X and it was pretty fun around town but the quality was dismal. Still, I prefer ICE or even Hybrid to full EV. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Its an Apple car with a Ferrari Badge. Ferrari's design team are not even involved. I think it will be a 2+2 and more a base level supercar. a Lusso with better 0-60 basically.
Great minds think alike I'm also seriously considering a Ferrari EV and I also drive Taycan Sport Turismo GTS (a little different but close enough) Image Unavailable, Please Login
