Wit hall due respect, at least they are 'fighting' to keep the V12.
That to me is at least a win. Regardless if they will keep on enhancing the current V12. The fact that we can still order one for years to come should make everyone happy.
Having driven the 296 extensively on track, I see no reason NOT to hook a battery up on this V12.
More power at lower revs and an overall more balanced driving experience for when you are not flooring the car.
If anyone can make it work it will be Ferrari.

As is the case with all of Manzoni’s designs- all his rears are too busy. Despite that I am partial to the Spider and since I prefer my vehicles to be in the dark greys or blacks it simplifies the cars to their basic shape without the distraction of surface details and frills

I agree(Porsche did it)add the lightest battery and motor and subtract weight from as much as possible from other areas(still waiting for carbon tubs for regular production Ferraris…and waiting…)would make this compete better with the other hybrid super/hypercars out there. Alas I don’t think it’s going to happen in my lifetime

Car looks nice in these pictures but really highlights how the design team is really more focused on prioritizing the geometric graphics of their design instead of more organic and more aerodynamic forms. You can note how little effort was made to maximize the tapering of the body at the rear so as not to mess up the planar/linear development of the blacked-out volumes at the rear.

Also funny to see that the rear glass in the second picture really shows the tell-tale glass tempering spots which must upset the designers’ objectives of having a full black-out effect of the rear glass and rear deck.

Should have been blacked out and offered with a camera as standard like the 812C. Then again the camera placement of the 12C also ruins the roof line.

Do you remember when Top Gear tested the 599 GTO and by there was so much air going in the body join of the hood that it pulled the hood up making it looked like it was not latched and then they corrected this on the F12. With this extra little black panel added to the front of the 12Cil I wonder if this problem will return….?

Didn’t know about the GTO test—weird it wasn’t caught in development—but on 12C there are three split lines above the bumper, including the matte black ‘filler’ strip below the black panel, not to mention the protruding side signal indicators, so hopefully they sorted out any issues during development.

Being hinged in front, I would assume it would not be such a big issue ??

The 12c must be seen in person, pictures do not due it justice whatsoever.

The car is stunning, the 21" axe rims suit the car perfectly, the front (black) piece has a crystal like look to it, the clam shell bonnet give you a warm feeling when it is opened. The rear black pieces complement the delta wing design and flow both elegantly and modern.and should NOT be anything but black. Manzione has it right they should stay the way it was made to get the full effect of the design of the coupe especially.

Interior wise the pannaroof when sitting in car is not that big has you see it on the outside, interior feels similar quality as the 812's. Not a huge fan of all the screens but it works

The only knock is that it is missing the red start button, which should have been left alone. Otherwise the car is dangerously beautiful and modern (Not futuristic)

The geometric concept surprises me here about how many OG Ferraristi like this. As I’ve said this jigsaw puzzle view is as Lambo as they have approached on a production car which usually gets people really razzed up here. Futuristic and angles and straight lines. Not the contoured Ferrari designs we have loved. That overhead shot looks unusually simple in that it’s like a lock and key piece just separated by that U shape which isn’t even curved or flowing. I own and love both brands but this is truly a crossover that I figured would have more troubled.

Is ADAS radar going to be integrated into one of those black pillars? I assume the box in the center below the badge is for register plate?

Front plate laws are dumb. I have removable brackets that I used for a while and took them back off, keeping the front plate behind the seat. Only pulled over once in the 812. The officers mostly wanted to look at the car. I popped the hood and talked to them a bit and that was it. Not even a warning.

Speaking of which, I have had a couple of times where a PD pulled into a parking lot to look at the 812. Car guys in every career!!

I got notified yesterday I have received an allocation (coupe). Pretty surprised (to get it this soon/early in cycle) as I have no prior ownership history other than a Roma Spider that is currently in production. I know there are so many variables that it's a bit reckless to speculate, but my first reaction was wondering how sales are really going.

First batch sales are very strong. As usual, most folks are trying to get a spider. I wanted a spider but was not going to make the first batch of allocation cut and did not want to suck down the inevitable price increase. So, I elected to make a switch to the coupe in order to secure a first batch allocation. A spider would have been nice. However, I also like the Delta Wing look of the coupe and the ability to have a glass roof. So, I am happy. Congrats on your allocation!

While Spider provides open air, to me the coupe is a more complete car. Signature design and true GT car.

Interesting, I was able to secure a Puro with only a used 812 and a new 296 but have yet to get an allocation for the 12C. Been told by my dealer I'm pretty much guaranteed one, it's just a timing thing.
